Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh was forced to bolt from a dinner at a
Washington, D.C., restaurant on Wednesday. Leftist protesters discovered
Kavanaugh was eating at Morton's Steakhouse and disrupted the entire
restaurant to "unduly" harass the Supreme Court justice over his decision to
overturn Roe v. Wade. Morton's Steakhouse called the incident an "act of
selfishness and void of decency."

However, Democrats have gleefully cheered on the targeted harassment of a
U.S. Supreme Court justice.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) shared a tweet from Huffington Post
senior editor Andy Campbell slamming Politico for "clutching pearls" for
writing up a 212-word account of the harassment of Justice Kavanaugh near the
end of its Playbook feature.

"While the court had no official comment on Kavanaughs behalf and a person
familiar with the situation said he did not hear or see the protesters and
ate a full meal but left before dessert, Mortons was outraged about the
incident," the Politico article said.

AOC wrote on Twitter, "Poor guy. He left before his souffl because he
decided half the country should risk death if they have an ectopic pregnancy
within the wrong state lines. Its all very unfair to him. The least they
could do is let him eat cake."

"I will never understand the pearl clutching over these protests," Ocasio-
Cortez said in a follow-up tweet. "Republicans send people to protest me all
the time, sometimes drunk and belligerent. Nobody cares about it unless its
a Republican in a restaurant. Can someone please explain the obsession
because I dont get it."

National Review fact-checked the Democratic socialist and noted that AOC was
spreading misinformation in her post regarding ectopic pregnancies which
occur when a fertilized egg implants and grows outside the main cavity of the
uterus where it can not survive and can be fatal for the mother.

"While Ocasio-Cortez seemed to smile upon the demonstration, her reason for
supporting such action is fictitious," the outlet stated. "The treatment of
ectopic pregnancies which occur when an embryo implants itself outside of
the uterus, oftentimes on the fallopian tube remains legal in all 50
states. Embryos that implant outside of the uterus are not viable, and even
the most strident of pro-life groups support the immediate treatment of them
as a medically necessary act, not an abortion."

Washington Examiner writer Jerry Dunleavy added, "Not only is medical
treatment for an ectopic pregnancy not illegal anywhere in America, but
implying to your 13 million followers that it is illegal is the sort of thing
that could actually cause someone to risk death for no reason rather than
seek out the treatment they may need."

Many online commentators also pointed out that Ocasio-Cortez previously
lashed out at someone for merely taking a photo of her eating.

In February 2019, AOC spouted, "Tonight a dude was creepily (and obviously)
taking a picture of me while pretending he wasnt and I had to break his
imaginary fourth wall and say 'Hi! Im a person! This is weird!'"

fourth wall and say \u201cHi! I\u2019m a person! This is weird!

The Politico Playbook article was also shared on Twitter by Chasten Buttigieg
the husband of U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg.

The spouse of the Biden cabinet member snarkily tweeted, "Sounds like he just
wanted some privacy to make his own dining decisions."

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre defended protesters targeting
a Supreme Court justice eating at a restaurant by saying, "This is what a
democracy is."

TV writer Bryan Fuller raged, "REMINDER: BRETT KAVANAUGH DESERVES TO DINE IN
TERROR."

Progressive podcaster Ethan Klein bloviated, "I hope Brett Kavanaugh never
has a peaceful meal for the rest of his life. Who gives a f***? Dude just
stripped human rights away from 50% of Americans. F*** yo dinner bitch."

Actor Ken Olin blustered, "Sorry, not sorry. Brett Kavanaugh is a bad person.
Hes only in that fancy DC steakhouse because his SCOTUS seat was bought &
paid for by rich right wing religious fanatics. So if Americans want to
exercise their 1st Amendment rights to protest outside a restaurant tough
shit."

Baseball writer Craig Calcaterra ranted, "Fuck around and find out. Sorry,
dude. You wanna ruin the lives of millions, expect people to tell you they
hate it."

Screenwriter Randi Mayem Singer tweeted, "If Brett Kavanaugh never enjoys a
dinner out again as long as he lives, he will still suffer less inconvenience
than a child forced to give her birth to her rapist's baby."

NBC Think writer Noah Berlatsky bemoaned, "Pregnant people literally have no
right to their own body and can be tortured for nine months and then killed
by the state if it feels like it. How would Brett Kavanaugh like it if that
happened to him? Forcing someone to carry a child they do not want at risk of
their mental and physical health is torture. It's torture. And it's meant as
such. these laws are deliberately sadistic and meant to terrorize women and
keep them in their place."

Far-left organization Shutdown DC offered money to tipsters who informed them
of the physical location of Supreme Court Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel
Alito, Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barrett, and Kavanaugh.

It was only a month ago that a man allegedly attempted to assassinate Supreme
Court Justice Kavanaugh at his home, where he lives with his wife and
daughters.

Speaking of whom...

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) teamed up with Congressman Ted
Lieu (D-CA) to issue a letter calling on the Senate to declare Supreme Court
Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh liars.

In the letter which they addressed to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer
the pair claimed that both Gorsuch and Kavanaugh had lied to the Senate
when they said during their respective confirmation hearings that Roe v. Wade
was settled precedent.

Our Constitutional Republic cannot tolerate Supreme Court Justices who lied
in order to get confirmed. The legitimacy of the Court is at stake, Lieu
tweeted, sharing a screenshot of the letter. Letter from @AOC and me
requesting the Senate to make a finding on whether Justices Kavanaugh and
Gorsuch lied to the American people.

Ocasio-Cortez shared Lieus comment and added her own, saying, We cannot
allow Supreme Court nominees lying and/or misleading the Senate under oath to
go unanswered. Both GOP & Dem Senators stated SCOTUS justices misled them.
This cannot be accepted as precedent. Doing so erodes rule of law,
delegitimizes the court, and imperils democracy.

 Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) July 11, 2022

We request that the Senate make its position clear on whether Justices
Kavanaugh and Gorsuch lied under oath during their confirmation hearings,
Ocasio-Cortez and Lieu wrote in the letter, adding, We must call out their
actions for what they were before the moment passes so that we can prevent
such a mendacious denigration of our fundamental rights and the rule of law
from ever happening again.

Both Gorsuch and Kavanaugh stated during their confirmation hearings that
they considered Roe along with its successor, Planned Parenthood v. Casey
to be settled precedent in the eyes of the court. Many took those statements
to mean that they would never vote to overturn the two landmark abortion
cases which they did in late June. But stating that those cases were
precedent did not mean that either justice was lying nor did it
necessarily constitute a promise to never overturn said precedent.

The fact that both Roe and Casey were precedent did not mean that they were
necessarily constitutional or that they were not simply bad law, however.
Plessy v. Ferguson which allowed for segregation under the banner of
separate but equal was also precedent once, until Brown v. Board of
Education reversed that. Korematsu v. United States which allowed for the
internment of Japanese Americans during World War II was also considered
precedent until it wasnt.

Speaking of whom...

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is, without a doubt, one of the
Democratic Party's rising stars.

With 13.2 million followers on Twitter, she appears to carry more grassroots
influence than some of the most well-known politicians on the Left --
including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Senate Majority Leader Chuck
Schumer (D-NY), and fellow "Squad" member Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN).

Despite her popularity with the progressive base, researchers at Vanderbilt
University and the University of Virginia found that in terms of garnering
support for and passing legislation, she is one of the least effective
lawmakers in Washington.

When one examines her proposals, there is no mystery as to why this is the
case.

The Green New Deal
The Green New Deal (GND) -- a plan that would tackle climate change by ending
fossil fuel usage -- has a price tag of $93 trillion.

The Green New Deal's measures extend far beyond the issue of climate. As the
American Action Forum details, the plan includes "a 10-year transition to an
exclusively low-carbon energy electricity grid" and "enough high-speed rail
transit available that air travel becomes unnecessary" -- but also slips in
leftist policy goals like "union jobs with a family-sustaining wage,"
"adequate family and medical leave, paid vacations, and retirement security
to all people of the United States," "universal health care," "guaranteed
housing for every American," and "food security for every person in the
United States."

The legislation would attempt to meet all of the power demand in the United
States "through clean, renewable, and zero-emission energy sources" within
the next decade. In order to accomplish ubiquitous green energy usage in such
a short time frame, the legislation suggests "upgrading all existing
buildings in the United States and building new buildings to achieve maximum
energy efficiency" and "overhauling transportation systems in the United
States to remove pollution and greenhouse gas emissions."

Why the short time frame? Because Ocasio-Cortez asserted that the world "is
gonna end in twelve years" if Americans do not address climate change. After
conservatives called out the absurdity of her statement, however, the
lawmaker insisted that she was merely employing "dry humor" and "sarcasm."

Civilian Climate Corps
More recently, Ocasio-Cortez suggested that Congress build a $70 billion
"Civilian Climate Corps."

Weighing in at 0.075% of the Green New Deal's size, the Civilian Climate
Corps (CCC) comparatively seems like a bargain. However, the legislation
would employ at least 1.5 million Americans -- a population larger than the
United States' total active military force -- to "complete federally-funded
projects that help communities respond to climate change and transition to a
clean economy."

Each "corpsmember" would receive a salary between $25,000 and $50,000 through
2025. Since the bill would favor hiring from "labor groups," taxpayers can be
certain that the new positions would exist until the end of all creation --
or, for the next twelve years. Whichever comes first.

"The CCC would put 1.5 million young people to work strengthening our
communities and preserving our lands -- doing everything from remediating
blight and maintaining trails to creating entirely new green spaces,"
Ocasio-Cortez remarked. "The program also provides the support needed to turn
this work into a career path -- including childcare, eldercare and tax-free
educational grants to be used for student loan debt payments or higher
education."

The CCC sounds an awful lot like a miniaturized GND.

Ban Fracking Act
Though likewise tame in the light of the Green New Deal, Ocasio-Cortez has
suggested the outright abolition of fracking.

The Ban Fracking Act of 2020 would "institute an immediate federal ban on all
new federal permits for fracking-related infrastructure and a ban on fracking
within 2,500 feet of homes and schools by 2021," then "ban fracking
nationwide" starting in 2025. Breadwinners who work in the fossil fuel
industry would be placed into "good-paying jobs in the communities in which
they live as the United States moves quickly to an energy system based on
sustainable energy and energy efficiency."

"The science is clear: fracking is a leading contributor to our climate
emergency. It is destroying our land. It is destroying our water and it is
wreaking havoc on our communities' health," Ocasio-Cortez said. "We must do
our job to protect our future from the harms caused by the fracking industry
and its methane emissions."

Despite lofty promises from progressives seeking to upend the nation's energy
infrastructure, promises of booming growth and new jobs never seem to
materialize. Reporters once asked former White House Press Secretary Jen
Psaki where employees from the canceled Keystone Pipeline could receive their
promised green energy jobs. A year and a half later, those employees are
doubtlessly still not holding their breath.

H.Res.666
Ocasio-Cortez's H.Res.666 -- an identifier that should automatically be
imputed to all Democrat-proposed legislation -- would lead the House of
Representatives into ratifying the United Nations Covenant on Economic,
Social, and Cultural Rights.

Stating that poverty and inequality are "choices made by people in power"
instead of "inevitables," the resolution asserts that the United States must
be "held accountable by Americans and the international community for
ensuring these rights for all Americans."

Unsurprisingly, the United Nations' Covenant reads like another socialist
wish list -- even beyond the overtly Marxist framework upon which it is
based. Among other items, the document declares "the right of everyone to
form trade unions and join the trade union of his choice," the necessity to
provide "paid leave or leave with adequate social security benefits" for
mothers, and the "progressive introduction" of free college education.

The Embrace Act

Ocasio-Cortez's "Embrace Act" would guarantee all existing federal benefits
be made available to illegal immigrants.

"Our nation must recognize that our history -- immigrants, enslaved peoples,
and refugees built this country," the lawmaker's website says. "We all do
better when we create a just society that embraces our most vulnerable
populations and paves a path to prosperity for all."

To attain this end, Uncle Sam would be compelled to provide a wide menu of
handouts to illegal immigrants -- including "any retirement, welfare, health,
disability, public or assisted housing, postsecondary education, food
assistance, unemployment benefit, or any other similar benefit" available to
American taxpayers.

Ocasio-Cortez's bill, which is unfair on paper, would be even more disastrous
in practice. Within weeks of the Biden administration assuming office --
after months of promising to welcome migrants with open arms -- the southern
border saw a 674% year-over-year increase in illegal crossings.

You're saying this sarcastically due to your closet homosexuality.

Apparently some internet comedian was on the steps of the Capitol and
saw her walking past and told the camera, "There's AOC! My favorite
spicy big-booty latina!"

Which absolutely enraged her and she took to Twitter yesterday to rant
about it. She was particularly pissed that the Capitol Police cop
standing nearby did nothing about it.

So not only can the Protest Princess (who exhorts mobs to show up at the
homes of government officials she doesn't like) not stand the heat of
her own kitchen, she's pissed that a cop didn't act illegally and shut
down the protected speech of an American citizen.

How are sexual insults "the heat of her own kitchen"?

Further, what this asshole actually said was ""There's AOC! My favorite
spicy big-booty latina who wants to kill babies!" Of course she
reacted.

Yeah, 'cause those leftist mobs that show up in restaurants and people's
homes never shout anything insulting...

Okay, points for the guy being accurate about her policy position, then.

> Of course she reacted.

She reacted by suggesting the Capitol Police should have violated the
Constitution by either arresting him or shutting down the his speech.
