Private sale of fireworks should be completely banned, but the fools in
government are too scared of the moron-brigade (despite them being in
the minority!) and too worried about the loss of the taxes they get
from the sales. :-(

Many of the large chain stores here in New Zealand have stopped selling
fireworks. It's now mainly only street-side, pop-up stores selling them.
