I watched:

VANDERPUMP RULES:
"Pitch Not-So-Perfect". Katie makes a splash at Schwartz and Sandoval's pitch
meeting, much to Sandoval's dismay, while Ariana coaches Raquel on how to set
boundaries with James. Lala finally makes amends with Scheana after their
rift, but Brock and Charli aren't so quick to forgive and forget.

VANDERPUMP RULES:
"It's a Mad Mad Pool Party". Scheana struggles with her post-baby body,
while James sets a new goal for himself as his two-year sobriety anniversary
approaches; Ariana and Sandoval throw a pool party; Sandoval and Katie clash
over the future of the bar. I am so totally beyond tired of hearing about the
Toms' future failed business!

VANDERPUMP RULES:
"Sexy Unique Feet". Ariana, Katie and Charli get creative with a photoshoot
to help raise money for Raquel's second nose job; Scheana gets annoyed at
James for refusing to help out with Brock's fitness app; Schwartz must pay up
when he loses a bet to Lisa Vanderpump....

Brock, DJ Muppet Baby, and Shwartz go to Deuces (what kind of name is that,
anyway?) for bullshit therapeutic ice baths. I didn't know Brock was missing
fingers before he mentioned it!

Successful businesswoman Lisa Vanderbucks visits LaLa, who confides that her
ten year-old dog that comforted her when she was drunk at age 6 might be ill.
Wait, whut?

Meanwhile, at Katie's place, a photographer takes photos for the foot fetish
site. The "Sexy Unique Feet" bit was amusing, but every time they mention
this fundraising project, I remember this ep of Family Guy. Raquel invites
the girls to a fancy tea party she imagined on her poster board art project.
Charli complains about Schemer doing nothing when one of Brock's friends
grabbed her arse last week.

Haughty hustler Lisa Vanderbucks takes Schwartz to a tattoo shop to make him
follow thru on his stupid bet. GA 4 Sh - Randal bets drink named after him on
Tom Tom menu. Why do I get the feeling the show is trying to imply Schwartz
has a gambling problem?

Raquel's fancy girlie tea party was obviously catered, so I'm not sure why
every is acting like she did everything herself. What the hell are Arianna
and Schema wearing? At least they don't look trashy, like LaLa, who claims to
have not received the memo on the party theme and dress code. Predictably,
Charli confronts Schemer about the groping incident and makes her cry.

Katie and Arianna work on statements for the next game of "Never Have I
Ever...", with the intention of getting Flat-Iron Tom wasted. Shawartz
passive-aggressively confesses to getting "LVP" tattooed on his arse.

Pickleball AGAIN? Randal makes a ten foot tall trophy for himself and hires
ringers to ensure he wins. Sorry, that former American Idol contestant he
brought in to sing the national anthem sucked. Ha! Randal also got Schwartz
drunk before the game, insuring he'd win the ten foot tall trophy. Lala wore
a cheerleader costume she usually only wears in the bedroom. Shwartz gives
Randal a fake Tom Tom menu with a drink item named after him.

Everyone goes to Tom Tom after the game. Isn't Randal going to notice the
real menus don't have his drink on it? Someone snaps a pic of Lisa
Vanderbuck's feet for the foot fetish site and Charli and Schemer rehash
whatever they've been fighting about this week. Hurray! Someone paid for a
foot photo!

What did you watch?

On my half-workday day, I had another longer than expected nap, and got
through:

soaps: GH (OnDemand and recorded) - Mon's & Tues' ep's. Nina "warns"
Sonny about Peter's threats to out their "relationship" when Sonny had
amnesia, and stupid, boring Willow eavesdrops on it - later, she's all
"judgy" with Nina... [roll] Maxie "confronts" Peter in the cop shop,
and it's a bad idea. While Spencer tries (and fails!) to convince
Josslyn that Esme is "OK", Esme backhandedly sticks it to Trina. Victor
Cassidine threatens Nikolas, and Ava concludes they need to get Victor
out of there!!

The Flash (recorded) - "Armageddon It: Part <s>27</s> 3". A definite
step up from "Part 2" - at the least, I liked Black Lightning mostly
cleaning The Flash's clock!... Meanwhile, Cecile acts like a lunatic,
but they bring back Ashley Rickards (who nearly dies!!), so I was OK
with it. Meanwhile, Iris improbably figures out that Barry is being
"framed". But the identity of the "framer" was both cliched and
disappointing.
Maybe "Part 4" will finally have Hottie McNamara as HOTT Girl Arrow!!

Christmas Movie Magic (Lifetime) - It's weird: Holly Deveaux looks kind
of the same, but totally different all of a sudden. My guess is that,
now that she's gotten older, the "softness" in her face has hardened
due to age, or because she's lost weight (or maybe both!?), but she
used to be insanely cute, and now she's just "attractive".
Anyway, Deveaux is called on to mostly "carry" this flick, as the
cynical big city reporter gal who is called on to investigate the
upstate New York town where a Christmas movie musical "classic" was
filmed (back in the 1950s?...). (In an amusing bit, Robin Dunne cameos
as the actor in the 1950s movie.) Soon enough, Deveaux discovers that
the actor had a mystery love when he was filming the movie and begins
to investigate it with the help of a good-natured handsome local (Drew
Seeley).
This wasn't bad, though I figured out where it was going from pretty
much the very beginning, and I was distracted throughout most if it
trying to figure out why Deveaux looked so (subtly!) different.

Recorded for later: DOOL, and The Flash ("Armageddon It: Part <s>28</s> 4").

The ABC Live presentation of DIFF'RENT STROKES and FACTS OF LIFE.

A decent recreation of two episodes of the classic series with actors
way too old for the parts.

The FACTS OF LIFE portion had Lisa Whelchel (the original Blair)
introduce the show by singing the theme song. I thought Kathryn Hahn as
Jo was the weakest of the bunch. She didn't capture character's
mannerisms or attitude very well at all. The others did a decent job,
with Aniston (Blair) and Union (Tootie) and Ann Dowd (Mrs. Garrett)
doing the best job recreating their characters.

Guest stars for the FACTS OF LIFE half included Jon Stewart, Jason
Bateman, and Will Arnett. Arnett and Stewart almost lost it when they
started cracking each other up in one scene. In addition to Whelchel,
original cast members Mindi Cohn and Kim Fields appeared at the end to
wave to the audience. I'd love to know the story behind Nancy McKeon
being a no-show. They never once even mentioned her name, either.

The DIFFF'RENT STROKES half I thought was funnier if only for some of
the ad-libbed departures from the original script. Best line:

WILLIS: Dad, I'm 13 now, I need my privacy! Arnold may look 45, but he's
only eight years old and he's cramping my style!

Wayans and Hart were joined by Snoop Dogg as Calvin, Willis' school
friend, which led to Hart's final line of the show:

ARNOLD: Willis, why does Calvin always smell like weed?

Only Todd Bridges showed up from this show's original cast because
literally everyone else is dead now.

Also, ABC and its advertisers got into the spirit of things and aired
ads for current shows and products but filmed them in the square lo-def
style of 70's-era TV. ABC even went back to it's old 1970s slogan "We're
the one!" for the night. I particularly liked the ad for BIG SKY
presented like an ad for an episode of STARSKY & HUTCH.

I love how my onscreen guide always puts up a pic of the Robert Vaughn
from U.N.C.L.E. whenever it shows a credit for this Robert Vaughn.

They seem to have caught wise to the turn-off-javascript gambit. Sigh.

Strange... I seem to have no trouble reading it (obviously without being
a subscriber) in Netsurf -- a Javascript-free browser. Maybe there's
an 'allotment'?

Yeah, that was good.

I watched:

Body Cam (Netflix rental) - I thought this was a *completely* different
movie than what I got. What I was expecting was a gritty crime drama
about a cop who goes on the run from her fellow officers after
witnessing them commit a crime which gets captured on her body camera.
Instead what a got was a movie starring Mary J. Blige as a cop
investigating the murder of another cop. The plot does involve body
camera footage, but about half an hour in I was strongly starting to
suspect this wasn't the movie I thought it was. Then when the ghost
showed up and started killing people, I knew it was a different movie!
Yes, this movie involves a ghost that's killing people and Mary J. Blige
is the cop who stumbles upon the case. David Zayas from Dexter gets
type cast as a cop in this movie too. Considering I went in expecting
one movie then got a completely different movie, I guess it was OK.

The Flash - "Armageddon, Part 4" - Flash finds himself in 2031 where
he's the villain and has to team up with another villain (Damien Darhk)
to defeat the heroes who are now being lead by Thawne. I guess it was OK.

Forget about this movie - you need to see "Cam"!! (I think it was on
Netflix when I watched it!) Copious nudity, and weird as cr*p!! The
only thing I didn't like was the ending.

I don’t know I tried Chrome after safari and got the same must subscribe on
both. I don’t have JavaScript controls by name on either but I have pop-ups

I think I would’ve enjoyed it more if I had the slightest idea what just
happened. Of course since this is like a triple alternate future version of
these characters maybe we aren’t supposed to.

I also think I would have enjoyed it more if this had been the finale and
not “two more parts to go ignore everything you just watched“

I think I would’ve enjoyed it more if they had the original actor playing
Thawne. What you said last week goes double for this week.

I have no idea who Ryan Choi is or why he was a flash later in the episode
but not earlier when they told him to suit up because he was facing the
reverse flash.

I have no idea who the evil woman in red speedster they alluded to was.

I have no idea where Joe was but Jesse Martin was credited?

I have no idea why people are fighting over Iris.

I have no idea why Iris shot the guy she loves except that she’s just that
big of a cheating sleaze. I have no idea why she didn’t continue to shoot
him periodically so he didn’t get up and chase after Barry.

I have no idea why batteredwoman can leap a dozen feet straight up. Did she
become a meta or get a trick costume?

I have no idea why spellcheck has decided that battered woman should be
bartered woman but sooner or later that’s going to bite me in the ass.

I have no idea why Mach 22 is going to tear the earth apart. Barry was
going Mach 20 just to stop the big wave from crashing into the city and
making everybody wet six seasons ago. He and stupidgirl have done the zip
around the earth before with no ill affects to the planet.

I have no idea why somebody on the writing staff didn’t ask Siri how fast
Mach 22 is. It’s 16,000 miles an hour. That means Barry‘s going to go
around the earth maybe once every 90 minutes. We’ve seen Barry go around
the earth in a handful of seconds before. He should be going 40 times
faster than that!

I have no idea why nobody mentioned the cosmic treadmill.

I have no idea where the hell Superman is. I sort of understand why they
don’t send out a call for help when it’s just threatening their city but
when it’s global catastrophe?

I have no idea who chilblain is or if we’re supposed to know.

Anyway when that was done I watched the hell out of STAR TREK THE MOTION
PICTURE. And then THE VENGEANCE OF KHAN. Fell asleep during THE SEARCH
FOR SPOCK.

IIRC, in the comics, Ryan Choi was the successor to Ray Palmer as The
Atom.

Past 18,000 mph or so, Barry should be flung helplessly into space,
because escape velocity is escape velocity, and Barry can't fly.

I was going to say... It's from 2020. It was on HBO, now it's on ePix.

I'd have been willing to watch it if it were a police procedural, but I
wasn't interested in the supernatural stuff.

Thanks. I read about him on Wikipedia. It says that he’s dressed as the new
atom despite looking like the flash. And he didn’t show up until the crisis
and this is a completely alternate version of him anyway so I think I’ll
just try and forget it ever happened!

That's the thing, I had *no* idea there was any supernatural stuff until
it started happening! I think this is probably the first time I've been
caught off guard like that during a movie.

Yes. They introduced the character a while back on Flash. I recognized
him when he appeared again. The character (played by a different actor)
was also in the Snyder Cut of Justice League.

I have all six films on my cloud drive and just let them run overnight.

Soon western digital will kill my cloud drive though and 3000 shows will be
gone forever.

I've done good in this world. Now I'm tired and just want to be a cranky

Clever. That’s exactly what’s happening.

It may depend on which scripts remain enabled. If I'm using Firefox,
it normally has NoScript. I just go through one by one disabling sites
until things work! In this case I was in my normal favourite OS, 'Haiku',
which is better than any other (IMO) for almost everything. Unfortunately
the 'almost' includes the Web! The native browser is maintained by one
guy (who's pretty good, but he can't keep up with all the ways javascript
can screw things up!) In this case it just crashed, but Netsurf worked.
I didn't bother switching to Linux and Firefox, which I expect would have
worked, too.
