So, the weirdo lab tech tests AR-15 rifles in an open lab area, with windows showing people walking by? Was that done as a joke, to see how stupid the audience was?

It’s bulletproof glass. Really. They say that in at least one episode.

Which doesn't even actually exist. There's no such thing as bulletproof
glass. Only bullet resistant glass.

Can it resist rifle fire? I thought bullets from handguns only, but I
suppose there have been improvements. Still, Rich has a point.

It's an open lab. Ricochets can happen, firing a rifle in a building with NO backstop??! Hey! They could put ranges in the middle of malls!
The show is a pathetic joke.

Short answer is yes, it can resist rifle fire. Of course a sustained
fire is going to penetrate the glass after enough shots so one thing
you see happening in both of the following clips is that they don't
have two shots land in the same location.

There's some camera tricks with that one. The guy gets in the car and sits
behind the wheel and gets back out again afterward, but during the
shooting, it's a mannequin behind the wheel.

Yeah, that's the smart move. Would be a dumb move to stay in the car
just in case something fails. Still, they don't seem to be playing any
tricks with the actual shots. So the window does appear to hold up
well under multiple shots (albeit not in the same location.)

Y'all didn't watch through to the end. After the credits, there's a
title card, "Now a continuous shot for the unbelievers." Then, though
speeded up some, they have the guy get in, the shots are fired, and then
the guy gets out, all in one take. Even in the original segment, they
cut to a frontal shot of the car, the guy gets in, and the shooting
starts all in one take.

Then below the title, there's a link to "UNCUT: Our CEO Is Not A
Mannequin And Our Video Is 100% Authentic!" where they show the
inside-the-car footage in a single take.

<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ar9j-IyEMck&t=0s>

Is it *impossible* for them to have indulged in some trickery? Given
today's CGI, no, but I'm pretty sure the footage is not tampered with.
That guy *really* wants to sell more cars to the paranoid rich and drug
dealers.
