This affects eternal-september users.

Timo is the News administrator of news.dns-netz.com, which will be
taken off line in a few months. He set up a redundant News server
news.dns-netz.com, which was supposed to be peered with starting January
31, but it went on line early.

Ray, the administrator of eternal-september, was treating it like a new
server and began peering with it immediately. For reasons not explained,
he accepted old articles from it while other News servers either hadn't
yet started peering with it or rejected old articles.

Ray said that he's expired 10s of thousands of redundant artices from
news.dns-netz.com although they'll still appear in the NEWSOVERVIEW
database (headers) for the rest of the day and that things will be back
to normal tomorrow morning.

No. The re-injected old News articles will cease showing up. The problem
that's been going on for the last several days has been solved.
