This is why I have been arguing for more than a year here that China
is 125% responsible for Covid - I don't believe the conspiracy
theories that suggest it was deliberately released from a lab but very
much do believe in the 'shockingly bad hygiene in outdoor markets' and
one thing is a given - the Chinese DO have a well established record
of making up the most outrageous lies to take the blame on pretty much
ANY problem off China and onto somebody else.

To my mind they also compounded their sins by early on (we're talking
1st quarter 2020) making a serious effort - which they were largely
successful in - before the general word got out to corner the world
market on N95 rubber which they knew darned well that when the disease
hit the West they could re-sell western N95 back to us at an
outrageous premium.

In general Chinese reticence transformed a disease that could have
been contained early had we in the west known earlier on what the
Chinese themselves already knew. And THAT is in violation of their
international treaty obligations.

There is more but in my opinion both of these sins fully justify
devastating international economic sanctions against China and if they
don't like it they can pound sand.

(Just as a starter, as a Canadian AS A MINIMUM I'd like to see a 2
year complete moratorium on immigration from China - we've been taking
north of 100000 a year for the last 5 years and that does not include
the 150000+ Chinese in Canada on student visas many of whom seek
permanent status on graduation and these are not counted as
'immigrants'. But then Justin Trudeau is in love with the Peoples
Republic of China and as long as he's prime minister, nothing much
will happen that Xi dislikes. More fools us!)

This is not the first time they've gifted an epidemic to the world -
have we forgotten SARS in 2003?

So my question is what do citizens have to demand to call them to
account for the damage they have done to our countries and the world?

But was SARS as contagious or as widely spread throughout the world as
covid has been? I don't remember much being said about it in the media
at the time.

For ghod's sake H.G. That one isn't a conspiracy theory. It is a
perfectly legitimate theory to consider that research scientists were
manipulating a virus to make it more transmissable at the laboratory and
that the laboratory is known NOT to be a world-class containment
facility for the world's deadliest plagues, and that such research MUST
NOT take place at such a facility.

There's no way to disprove the theory as China refused to allow
epidemiologists to collect samples.

There was an actual conspiracy by the Chinese Communist Party to prevent
the investigation. Sorry but it's absolutely necessary to rule out human
error at such a laboratory along with investigating other theories.

Neither is the 'stomach flu' an influenza, DuPree, but it's still a
commonly accepted shorthand way of referring to viral gastroenteritis.

history (in other words not just on the Covid file) of being willing
to say most ANYTHING however outrageous to attempt to shift the blame

This SPECIFICALLY includes their claim that Covid originated in the
United States and was transmitted to China during the World Military
Games (held in Wuhan in Oct 2019). Pure self serving moonshine of
course.

It's even been said that Iran did Canada a huge favor by shooting down
that Ukranian jetliner in Jan 2020 (which originated in Teheran and
was on its way to Kiev after which it was scheduled to fly on to
Toronto which is why roughly 3/4 of the dead in that flight were
either Canadian citizens of Iranian extraction or Iranians with
Canadian green cards) Because one of the first things Iran did after
COVID was discovered was to close down the direct flight from Wuhan to
Teheran!
