I think we have been very quiet, that is all.

I keep getting mixed up. I have had a bit of time to spare and used it watching
some "Classic Corrie" . It is 2000, Bethany has recently been born, Jim McDonald
has just killed Jez Quigley, Martin and Gail have just separated, and David is a
cute little 9 year old, not the step dad of an out of control teenager.

One day there was an episode with someone in hospital in both then and now - and
it took a moment to remember why each one was.:-)

We just got a Samsung tv, and yeah it has some special channels. But the
Classic Corrie is just on one of the ITV channels in the afternoon. Just had
the Siege of Freshco today.

The current episodes are all one hour ones now, rather than the split in the
midddle 2 half hours we were getting, which I always watched together anyway,
recorded them and started at a time which meant I finished near enough as the
second did - and I still do, to zap the ads.:-)

Well done with the conversions!

Yeah, me too. And they all looks so young!

And I am horrified how much I have forgotten - though not all of it, so it must
have been storylines that didn't much interest me at the time. Linda and Mike -
tick. Sally and Danny and their shop? Blank.

I doubt it somehow.:-)

I am old enough to remember the show actually starting though obviously in those
far off days with no way to record I missed many. Kids and teenagers have other
things to do too.

It will be a while but I need to see from early 2008 until the live episode in
2010. We were going away from a month and I decided I couldn't record and catch
up with everything, so the soaps could go and just record anything I needed to
see the end of. I stopped watching both Corrie and Emmerdale as storylines
ended early in the year so as not to get caught up in them. Soon catch on when
I get back I thought.

But life sends us curve balls and Stuff happened during the next months after we
got home taking up my time and I didn't start watching again. Lost the habit.
Never have returned to Emmerdale as it happens, but the Corrie live episode, got
to watch that I thought - and of course then I was hooked again! So yeah, when
they get to that period it will all be new and/or explain a lot of what happened
later!

Just think - twenty years from now the current episodes will be showing
up on 'Classic Corrie' and we'll be getting all nostalgic about the
storylines involving Imran and Max and Simon...
