In the hope some of the readers of this group may be interested I am
posting this information:

Some 20or so years back some families from Thoopul near Kanchipuram
migrtd to Tirunelveli and they were called Thooppular.

The web site http://thoopul.42web.io describes a family and many
related tidbits about Tirunelveli vadamas.
