I've been going through all of the Verdi operas in chronological order, partly to familiarize myself with them, especially the early ones, and selecting the performances I like best from the recordings readily available both commercially and on YouTube. Let me say though I am only judging these based on the audio. I I cannot comment on the staging if you're interested in videos.

I've now gotten up to Verdi's 20th opera I Vespri Siciliani and have chosen six that I think are really good and will choose the one I like best in the next week or so.

If anyone is curious about the ones I've chosen as my favorite performances among the earlier operas, I'll be glad to share a list.

Btw, I'm new to this group.
