His birthday was on April 3rd.

He divides his time between NYC and Carboneras, Almeria, Spain. (Not to be confused with Geoffrey C. Fox, the British-born Indiana University computer scientist - or Geoffrey P. Fox, the British professor and contributor to Twentieth Century Children's Writers.)

At least two of his nonfiction books - on Venezuela and Argentina - are juveniles. He's also a novelist.
