That's interesting, especially because I've seen several cat videos on
YouTube by a guy named Walter Santi who keeps a rather large number of
cats - many permanently and some on a fostering basis - and they pretty
much all get along just fine. Frankly, I find *that* more surprising
than that your daughter's cat freaks out at smelling other cats on her
hands.

Hmm. I wonder what *our* cat would do if I came home with the smell of
other cats on my hands? She's a feisty thing and might not appreciate
it.... Then again, we had 4 cats in this house at one point, including
her, and they mostly got along. Mind you Deena, the current cat *did*
lash out at Barney a time or two to the point where she drew blood from
him....

They're strange cats, not ones who hang out in the same home. My exbf's
parents and sister always have at least 5 cats and while it takes a week
or so for them to get used to each new one, they get along pretty well.
At least they tolerate each other, and spats do break out but that's
generally when another one wants to mooch out of another's food bowl.
