I have fallen behind on The Red Reddington show. And I don't really
care. I don't think I've watched an episode since the Fembots.

I watched:

Blue Bayou (Netflix rental) 2021 drama starring, written, and directed
by Justin Chon. Chon plays a happily married man raising his wife's
(Alicia Vikander) daughter from a previous relationship with a new baby
on the way. His wife's ex is a police officer who is upset his daughter
would rather by with Chon than him. And this guy's partner is an
extreme bully (and probably racist too) who decides to make an example
of Chon because he can. After arresting Chon on trumped up charges Chon
learns that he is not a U.S. citizen and is going to be deported. Chon
who knew he was adopted as a child had no idea he wasn't a citizen and
wind ups having to try and fight his extradition to a country he knows
nothing about while trying to keep his family together. It's an OK
melodrama. There was a tag at the end explaining the movie is based on
a true story and thousands of foreign born adoptees get deported every
year because their parents never bothered to fill out the proper
paperwork and the kids never know this until the deportation proceedings
start.

The First Lady (Showtime) New history drama about the wives of U.S.
Presidents. The first ladies are played by an all star cast. I thought
each episode would focus on one first lady, but this jumped around in
time focusing on lots of different first ladies. It was OK.
