WASHINGTON — Democrats are sounding dire warnings after Sen. Joe Manchin
tanked their hopes of acting on climate change.

"We're all going to die," House Budget Committee Chairman John Yarmuth, D-KY,
told reporters when asked about the consequences of Congress failing to act on
climate change.

Honestly, what's big deal? According to Collectivist Barbie four years ago,
the world only had 12 years before it will end due to 'climate change'. So
that means we have eight years left. What's the problem?

Does anyone really want more than eight years? Tech has peaked (Dyson vacuums
and PS5), we're not getting flying cars, college will be too expensive for
your kids, Marvel movies have just about run their course, and you'll get to
die with your dog now. Seriously, let's just wrap this party up.

(Also, if only eight years remain, that means seeing two DeSantis terms and
then never having to endure a single Ocasio-Cortez term. Ever. Which would be
hilariously ironic but fitting. Game over man.)

It's okay. We are all going to die anyway and those of us alive today
will likely die before it gets too bad so no reason to worry.

The really stupid part is that the bill that Manchin tanked was one that
he helped to write. The Democratic leadership told him to negotiate a
bill with the Republicans. He did, it was ready to submit and then he
said "No, wait, I don't like some of the spending provisions in it" and
pulled his support from his own bill.
