Nope. All you need to do is to inform someone, anyone, else of the
change. So, you could potentially change your gender 100s time a day
without hardly trying.

We had that as a rule for a year or two so that people who wanted their
driver's license to say M instead of F or X instead of M or F could have
a document to show the Ministry of Transportation (our equivalent of the
DMV) but then they dropped that requirement. I never heard an official
reason why but I assume it was to conform to "progressive" ideology that
people could change their gender ANY time they wanted, as many times as
they wanted, and shouldn't be oppressed by having to get that affirmed
by some government employee like a doctor. (Technically, I suppose
doctors like to think of themselves as self-employed but since all or
most of their money comes from the government via the taxpayer-funded
health system, I tend to think of them as bureaucrats in lab coats or
scrubs.)

I remember watching a video of Lauren Southern, who is obviously a
woman, going to a doctor to get herself declared a man. The doctor asked
a couple of perfunctory questions, she told lies as answers, and the
required form was duly generated so she could get her license changed.

But the pointless activity of getting her "gender expression" approved
by a doctor ceased to be a requirement shortly after that. I'm really
not sure what happens today if the police pull you over and notice that
your gender doesn't match the gender on your licence. I suppose they
just ignore that. I'm also not sure how many gender codes are possible
now, just M, F, or X? Or do they have dozens of codes for all the
genders that have been discovered by our brave sociologists and LGBT
activists? I don't see how a police officer could verify that you are or
you aren't whatever code is specified on your license. I don't see them
strip-searching you to determine if you have the right code so I expect
they simply ignore it altogether. Also, what happens if you look wildly
different than the picture on your license because, say, you've
"transitioned" after the photo was taken? I don't know any active police
officers so I don't know anyone to ask.
