I watched:

FAMILY GUY:
"Fish out of Water". A jobless Peter decides on a line of work fit for
a real New England man: He becomes a fisherman. But there's something
fishy about the bank that finances his boat. Meanwhile, Meg and Lois do
some serious spring-break partying at Rhode Island's Spring Break.

FAMILY GUY:
"Seahorse Seashell Party". While housebound due to Hurricane Flozelle,
Brian experiments with mushrooms. Meanwhile, Meg unloads on everyone
but unfortunately, decides her lot in life is to be the family
punching-bag. What a dissapointing ending!

MYSTERIES DECODED
"Horror Hotel". U.S. Navy veteran turned private investigator Jennifer
Marshall and journalist Ozzy Mora investigate chilling claims and a
mysterious death at the infamous Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles. Maybe it's me,
but the show seems less skeptical than in the past and investigates things
that csannot really be proven or debunked.

BOB'S BURGERS:
"The Land Ship". The upcoming Land Ship parade could mean increased
business for Bob, until he learns that two port-o-potties will be
placed in front the restaurant. Meanwhile, Tina learns from her friends
that shes boring, so she joins up with Jordan who has been vandalizing
the school with graffiti. But when Jordan wants to spray graffiti on
the Land Ship, Tina must decide between ruining the parade or
disappointing her new crush.

BOB'S BURGERS:
"Hauntening". The Belchers are ready for an amazing Halloween! Louise
reveals that she has never been scared before and the family sets out
to visit a spooky haunted house. When trouble ensues following their
visit, the Belchers find themselves in a zany situation more
frightening than they bargained for!

Neighbors:
"Blood Bath and Beyond Red Bathroom Supplies"

Exterminator:
 "Last Mouse on The Left"

Burger of the Day:
 Breaking Radish Burger

I love how Gene is scared of clapping, and considers anyone from Murphy
Brown "Hollywood bigwigs."

I totally saw what was going to happen but I enjoyed seeing how it
would play out. I also liked how happy Louise was about them scaring
her.

Really loved the return of Boyz 4 Now and everyone commenting on their
lame "Thriller" video.

What did you watch?

Not as much, as I'm starting to scale back some. But I did finish out
"Paper Girls", and I got through the recent "Motherland..." episode:

Paper Girls (Prime) - Ep's #7 & 8.
OK, this definitely does not come to any kind of resolution at all.
So if Amazon cancels this after 1 season, I will be pretty dang pissed.
But the series/season ends pretty strong (though with a
cliffhanger), though there was one twist that I didn't entirely buy.
I did like that "Grand Father" (Jason Mantzoukas) had a pretty good
defense of the position of the "Old Watch" (which I think is more
compelling than the Resitance's). However, there is an obvious solution
here, which is what was proposed in the finale.
But, in the finale, the girls get split up, and Erin and Tiff end up
someplace very surprising!
THE END.
I really hope this at least gets a second season.

soaps: DOOL - Xander challenges the cops to drop Sarah from being a
person of interest, but Rafe and the new chyck, Jada Hunter, point out
that Sarah doesn't have a slamdunk alibi. Later, Xander and Sarah
figure out that Lucas saw someone in a "Sarah mask", and quickly
conclude that it's Gwen! (who does still have the Sarah mask!).
Meanwhile, Chad gets obnoxiously drunk, and Eric calls Sonny to come
retrieve Chad. And Paulina pushes Eric on Nicole some more!!
GH - Not much happened this episode. Sonny sends Dex to pressure a
juror on Trina's case to vote "not guilty", and Joss again catches and
interrupts this. Curtis wants TJ to "wake" up the witness against Esme
up, but Portia sends TJ away, intending to do the unethical act for her
daughter herself. And Sasha is cracking up, but is arrested and held in
custody anyway.

The Runners (Tubi) - Wow - Never before have I seen a film with >1000
votes that is as obviously *over-rated* in its IMDb score as this 2020
film!
Get this: it's rated 5.9/10 (with almost 1200 votes), but I am
telling you this is a *sub-4/10* film (it probably rates in the high
3's...). I am guessing they must have had *everyone* who worked on the
film *and their relatives* rate it 9 or 10 on IMDb - it's the only
explanation for this overly high score that makes sense!
This was a low-budget take on human trafficking: knucklehead brother
(Micah Lyons) springs into action when his 17-year old sister (Netty
Leach) is kidnapped from a party by what we later learn is a
trafficker. Brother, buddy and teen's boyfriend then try to track her
down before it is too late.
In addition to being low-budget, the brother is written as an idiot
(he is so stupid, he would literally easily die at the hands of the
traffickers in the real world!).
And the ending is preposterous - if the cartels managed to
annihilate an entire FBI(?) swat team, it would be national news! In
fact, it's never come close to happening! And the way the scene played
out was dumb - sure, the cartel thugs had the high ground on a catwalk,
but it was *unprotected* high ground, so the feds could have taken most
of them out easily!!
The one good thing I can say about this is that I thought Netty
Leach, as the kidnapped sister, put in the only decent performance in
the whole film - hopefully she gets more work from this (though it
looks like, so far, she hasn't... :( ).

Motherland: Fort Salem (recorded) - "She Returns" (ep. #3.7).
Season #3 is definitely picking up in the second-half - it's too bad
the first half was so weak!
At least in this episode, Raelle is returned to the action, though
they still have Kandyse McClure playing Nicte. :|
In this one, while Anacostia, Adil and Abigail try to prevent the
U.S. "invasion" of the Cession from turning bloody, Tally and Scylla
realize the Cession Council is in danger from a traitor, and race to
save Thelma Bearkiller and the others.
By the end, Abigail has rallied the Fort Salem witch soldiers
against the EVOL!!1!-doers, while Tally saves Thelma and the others,
but is almost toasted and is only saved at the last second by Raelle's
witchbomb. Meanwhile, Scylla allows herself to be captured as a
distraction, and finds out from some witch troops that Raelle is back.
The Alder parts of this episode were not complimentary, as she
brutally kills an apparently retired Camarilla dude, which seemed
totally unnecessary. Alder then pulls Tally out of play, needing
Tally's help and her "vision" power in order to recover the last piece
of the First Song.
Next epie: Raelle goes to spring Scylla from captivity!
Just 3 episodes left in this series.

Final Examination (Tubi) - A 2003 (filmed in 2002) softcore "erotic
thriller", starring Kari Wuhrer!!
Don't get excited, though - Wuhrer plays one of the detectives on
the case, so there's no naked nudity from her!!
Gist: L.A. detective relocated to Hawai-EYE-EYE (Brett Huff) and his
(rookie? - I was unclear on this) partner (Wuhrer) investigate the
murders of some sorority sisters at their 5-year reunion in Hawaii.
Note: This was actually filmed in Hawaii, apparently on the "Big Island".
This was the late-90s/early-2000s, so unfortunately, every sorority
sister, etc. (save one) who gets naked has obviously fake/enhanced
boobs. [roll]
Aside from the gratuitous nudity, this was actually mildly
entertaining, though the banter among several characters, esp. Huff's
and Wuhrer's, would have been HR-able! even in 2002!! (And the dialogue
likely wouldn't even get written that way in 2022. :( )
I thought it was interesting that Wuhrer still looked pretty dang
fine in 2002, and she was 35 by this point!

--
"Who would ever do this to him!?" - HottCiara on DOOL (04-27-2020), asking
who would stab Victor Kirakis... How about ANYONE WHO'S EVER MET HIM??!!

A *bunch* of stuff just dropped on streaming today! I want to get to
this, but some other stuff has to be watched first.

Over on Amazon it has 4 out of 5 stars with 2383 votes. Seems like it
may be worth checking out.

I'm sure it made her feel good. That has to count for something.

At first I was thinking "The Final" then you got into the plot
description...

I watched:

What We do in the Shadows - "Private School" - The vampires try to
enroll baby Colin in a private school and wackiness ensues. This was a
really funny episode especially when the school principal came over for
the parental interview. I won't spoil what happened, but it was good.
There was also a running gag with Nandor still making wishes with his Djinn.

The Villainess (Peackock) - A few days ago I saw a trailer for an
upcoming Netflix action movie called "Carter." It looks like it could
be pretty good. I read in the online comments that it looks like
(visually, not literally) a sequel to a different movie called "The
Villainess" by the same director, so I decided to track down The
Villainess. The Villainess opens with a wild hand to hand action
sequence shown from the point of view of someone slaughtering dozens of
people as they fight their way through a building to reach a crime boss.
Eventually the point of view person walks in front of a mirror to
reveal a young woman. Once she finishes slaughtering the gangsters, she
makes her way out of the building and is surrounded by cops. From their
we see that gets La Femme Nikitaed. Actually, from that point on the
whole movie is pretty much a Korean remake of La Femme Nikita. The
woman gets recruited by a secret government agency that fakes her death
and offers her a new life if she agrees to let them train her as an
assassin. The main difference between this and La Femme Nikita is while
in both movies Nikita falls in love with a guy, in this version the guy
turns out to be working for the shady government agency except she
doesn't know it. He uses his inside knowledge of her to manipulate her
into falling for him. It's all really shady, but then again, he works
for a shady government assassin group, so how virtuous could he really
be? Another difference is this Nikita is also out for revenge against
someone. What I didn't realize was the movie kept jumping around in
time as it told her personal revenge story. The movie constantly
jumping around in time and not realizing that, is why I started to get
really confused towards the end and had to read the plot summary before
the movie ended. But overall, it was a pretty good movie. Basically
"La Femme Nikita" mixed with "Old Boy."

I'm telling you, it's *not*. There's one good performance. The script
is cr*p, and the budget is too low.

The Amazon score seems like more evidence that someone is "gaming the
system" in regards to this flick.
