I know nothing about septic systems but I *think* they're saying that
these supposed bodies may be nothing more than sewage of some kind.

In my opinion, this increases the urgency of FINALLY doing some actual
excavation - with an open mind and all due care and respect in case
there ARE actually bodies - so that we can find out what is actually
going on. We've been having to live with this insistence that these are
bodies for long enough: time for all concerned to put up or shut up.
Just taking the word of Indians for this forever is NOT a reasonable
plan. If there are bodies and the broader society is in some way
responsible for them, let's prove that and try to deal with it
appropriately. And if all these lumps are is sewage, then let's figure
THAT out too. That ought to go a long way towards making the indigenous
people feel better.
