Yes, they did.

I'm not surprised to see that the nets want to surrender the 10 p.m. ET
hour. What I'm more interested in is how the affiliates are going to
fill it. (My guess is that they'll expand their 11 p.m. local "news.")
When the FCC took the 7:30 ET half-hour away from the nets, there was
an initial flurry of independently produced 30-min dramatic series (ex:
Dr. Kildare, with Gary Merrill as Dr. Gillespie), but they all went
away pretty soon. Everything was replaced by magazine shows and
quizzes.

The surrendering of the 10 p.m. prime time hour is astonishing to me.

You should try living in a real country. I watch broadcast TV literally
at any time during the day or night and I live in a semi-rural area.
