I have to agree with this writer who questions how $500,000 US tax
dollars from a climate change grant got used to repave 4 parking lots in
Pennsylvania:

I too am at a loss to understand how repaving a parking lot does
anything positive for the climate.

And yeah, I know that as government waste goes this is not even a drop
in the ocean, let alone the bucket. But it seems to me that these
"drops" very quickly add up so that they are deluges. If we don't
challenge the small expenditures, how will we ever get a handle on the
big ones?

That's a lot of money to re-pave 4 parking lots even if somebody else
is paying for it!
