Agents are never allowed to use bathrooms in a protectees home. Who
wants dozens of guys constantly traipsing through their home and pissing
up a bathroom?

We were never allowed to use the restrooms in the Clinton's house in
Chappaqua and we couldn't use the restrooms in the Obama home in
Chicago, either.

It's pretty much an unwritten rule in the Service that your protectee's
home is not a place to relieve yourself. You go find somewhere else to
do it, even if you have to take the push car and go find a gas station
or something.

The 'home' of the VP is the NavObs and-- like the White House-- it has
facilities for the Navy personnel and other staff working there that are
separate from the VPs personal quarters. So yes, it's a workable
solution for agents on the Marvel detail to just drive a short distance
over there on their breaks to use the restroom and eat snacks.

Do you really expect Ivanka and her family to have agents tramping
through their home in the middle of the night to take a shit in their
bathroom?

(And I know plenty of guys on the Renegade detail and no, they don't get
to use the bathrooms in his private home, either, which makes that
assertion by Business Insider a complete lie.)

No, they rent a nearby studio apartment to serve as the security room
for the detail, where all the surveillance systems and weapons and other
tech is run and stored. The fact that it also has a bathroom is just an
additional advantage. (And if they have a bathroom in the security room,
why would they be running over to NavObs as the article claimed earlier?
Makes no sense.)

Every detail has a security room. This is nothing new or unique to
Trump. We even build them if there are none available, like we did at
Bush' ranch in Waco and Clinton's home in Chappaqua. Early in my career,
I was assigned to the Jenna Bush detail in Austin while she was going to
college there, and we rented an apartment right across the street from
hers to use as the security room.

But of course, for the Trump-deranged, standard operating procedure that
has been in use for literally more than a half century is now portrayed
as some kind of extraordinary, ridiculous, and unwarranted expense
because Trump is mean and won't let us use the bathroom or some such
bullshit.

The USSS is currently renting a Malibu beach house to use as a security
room for Hunter Biden and it's costing the taxpayers a shit-ton more
than $3000/month, but you don't see the media or idiots like this
bruce-to-bowser clown complaining about that because... Democrat.
