Where I live, we had a glorious summer. July was hot but nothing
excessive. August was mild. We didn't have too much rain and we didn't
have too little rain. September has been quite warm till now what with
high temperatures many days about 10 to 15 degrees above normal.

Warm Septembers have distinct advantages. I live a certain distance from
a high school. After school, athletes in training run through this area
in gear as part of a regular route. Oddly, I tend to see nearly all
girls; I don't understand why the boys aren't running after them.
Literally. Athletic gear can be tight and not cover much and when it's
especially warm out, the girls wear even less.

Alas, highs for today and tomorrow are going to be below normal so I
suppose the gear they wear will be more modest.

There was one girl I saw a week ago with such fantastically tight abs
exposed in such minimal gear, she looked like a college or international
track-and-field athlete.

When I run the beach trail here, I wait until a hot California girl runs
by, then fall in behind her so I have some scenery to watch while I run.
