Last two days, I've just watched soaps:

soaps: DOOL - In an amusing sequence, NuStephanie breaks into (what
kind of "P.R. firm" is this?!!) scummy lawyer Sloane's place to search
for the docs Sloane is using to blackmail Pualina and Chanel... and
finds Alex Kiriakis handcuffed to Sloane's bed in a sex game! Stephanie
is disgusted, but Alex knows she broke in. When Stephanie's and Chad's
gambit to distract Sloane with a payoff (of counterfeit money!) is
ruined by Leo Stark, Stephanie has to hide when Sloane returns, but
Alex doesn't bust Stephanie who sneaks back out. I think Alex is now
going to search for the docs on his own!... Meanwhile, Johnny gets
Allie to agree to let Wendy stay with them for a while. Allie admits to
Sonny that she had a threesome with Alex, and Johnny overhears!!
GH - Victor's frame-up of Anna progresses. Ava figures out that
Victor is the one who stole Nikolas' written confession, and goes to
confront Victor, but Nikolas warns her off and claims to be working on
a solution. Victor then insults Nina, which sets off Sonny...
Meanwhile, Britt and Cody discover that Peter August left her an
extravagant diamond and jeweled neckelss - does this have something to
do with GH's famed "ice princess" diamond?! Britt hires Sam to
investigate it. Cameron and Josslyn visit a self-pitying Spencer in the
clink, and then I think they "do the deed" again! (finally!).

Recorded for later: Stargirl (I'm up to 8 epies on my DVR!!), and
Walker: Independence.

You are really not going to enjoy trying to binge Stargirl. It's much
better suffering through this season an episode at a time...

I watched:

Star Trek: Lower Decks (Paramount+) - "The Stars at Night" - Third
season finale. Picking up where the last episode ended, Mariner is now
out of Star Fleet and working as a space Indiana Jones. Meanwhile the
crew of the Cerritos, fresh off being rescued by the new automated Texas
class ship, learns Admiral Buenamigo wants to decommission the
California class and replace them all with automated Texas class ships.
Things take a serious turn for the worse, but I won't spoil how or why.

I never noticed or realized before now that the Cerritos, which is a
California class ship, is named after the city of Cerritos in
California. But this episode had a very cool moment when all the
California class ships make an appearance...The Oakland, The San Diego,
The Fresno, The Sherman Oaks, The Vacaville, The Burbank, and more! It
was really cool seeing all of those Star Fleet ships named after cities
in California.

Star Trek: Prodigy (Paramount+) - "Asylum" - Season 1 resumes with the
crew making their way to Federation space. They make contact with a
deep space outpost crewed by one lonely Starfleet officer. I guess it
was an OK episode.

Tales of the Jedi (Disney+) - New animated anthology series set in the
Star Wars universe.
"Life and Death" - This episode focused on baby Ahsoka Tano's. I didn't
care for this.
"Justice" - You Qui-Gon Jinn and his master Dooku rescue a kidnapped
young man. This was much better.

Law & Order - "12 Seconds" - The team investigates the death of a law
student along with the usual twists and turns.

Law & Order: SVU - "Breakwater" - Team SVU investigates The Baywatch.
In order to resolve things at the end things go full on "A Few Good Men."

Atlanta - "The Goof Who Sat by the Door" - The cast must have been off
making movies again, because no one shows up (although Donald Glover
directed this episode) in this "documentary" episode about the making of
"A Goofy movie" and all the backstage going on at Disney which was being
run by an African American man with mental health problems at the time.
The episode's plot aside, I found this episode interesting because of
the focus on Disney and "A Goofy Movie." I've never seen "A Goofy
Movie" before so I have no real opinion of it. I remember at the time
of its' release, I had *no* interest in it, and I just never had any
interest in seeing it later. But just a few months ago I was at the D23
expo and saw this guy dressed in *full* elaborate costume from a movie I
didn't recognize then later when watching clips of various Disney movies
they showed some of "A Goofy Movie" and I realized the guy was dressed
like a character from that movie. I've come to realize that "A Goofy
Movie" is apparently popular and may actually be good. And now after
watching this episode of Atlanta, I am very interested in watching the
actual movie. I also wonder did Donald Glover get Disney's permission
ahead of time for this episode. There's just no way they could have
made this episode without permission, but someone over at Disney must
have a real good sense of humor about themselves to have signed off on it!

There are just so many animated Marvel and Star Wars series that I will
probably never get to!!

Maybe this winter break, or next summer...

I wonder if the have a USS West Covina, the East L.A. city lampooned MY
CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND? Speaking of, I started watching REBOOT on the
Hulus, which stars Rachel Bloom, the crazy ex-girlfriend from that show,
and my god has she gained weight. At first I thought maybe it was a fat
suit and that losing weight would be some kind of character arc, but
nope, she's just about 100 pounds heavier than she was on CRAZY
Ex-GIRLFRIEND.

> But this episode had a very cool moment when all the California class

LOL! "The Sherman Oaks" and "The Burbank". I wonder if there's a USS
City of Industry, too?

Does Starfleet put a cadre of thugs on the USS Oakland to randomly
assault the crew as they go about their day to make the experience more
realistic? And maybe there's no crew quarters on the USS Venice--
everyone just has to pitch a tent in the hallway, poop on the floors,
and scream violent threats like a lunatic at anyone walking past.

And whenever a California class ship is called to respond to some kind
alien incursion on a Starfleet colony, the captain is required to tell
the colonists, "Sorry, there's nothing we can do about it, and even if
we caught the Klingons or the Romulans, or whoever attacked you, the
Starfleet prosecutor in this sector wonn't press charges against them
anyway.
> Law & Order: SVU - "Breakwater" - Team SVU investigates The Baywatch.
> In order to resolve things at the end things go full on "A Few Good Men."

Once again, the defense attorney stands up to cross examine a witness--
the lifeguard who documented the chief's crimes-- and asked just one
single question on cross-- whether he'd been given a deal to testify.
This was an attempt to impeach his credibility, but his credibility
wasn't even an issue because he had photos and audio recordings of the
defendant. Whether he was offered a deal or not doesn't change that.

Serving on a jury wouldn't be something to be avoided by most people if
trials went like they do on LAW & ORDER where the lawyer asks just one
question of a witness, then says "Nothing further" and sits back down
again. Trials really would be over in mere hours.

I couldn't remember who that was so I did a simple Google search on
her. To the right they have a set of pictures of her and two pictures
side by side make it clear how much weight she's gained. Not sure if
that's from having a baby or having to take some drug like
Prednisone(sp?) or if it's just too many late night doughnuts, but she
definitely put on some weight. Much like Schmidt character on GREY'S
ANATOMY who put on quite a bit of weight since last season for some
reason (that doesn't seem plot related.)

I didn't enjoy this episode, because I had no prior knowledge of the
existence of _A Goofy Movie_, and did not know what if anything about
it or the rest of the episode was real or fictional. I had troulbe with
the premise that a black man could accidently be elected CEO of Disney,
and then having been, that the white men of the corporation would not
then act to undo the accident. While I'm sure there was a point to it
all, I lost the thread of it due to these difficulties I had with the
story.

The movie is real. Everything else is fictional. This episode probably
played totally different for people who are actually familiar with the
movie. I'm sure many of the jokes went right over my head.

Same here. I'm not blaming the episode. I'm just lacking some of the
knowledge/pop culture experience to judge the episode well.

"White people be trippin'. Sometimes black folk too. And Paper Boi
needs to look both ways before crossing the street."

Actually, they made a mention about the father-son relationship in _A
Goofy Movie_, and I suspect the connection between the actual movie and
the fictional TV episode may boil down to that, but I couldn't be sure,
and I lacked the knowledge to draw the connection.
