I destroyed you,
touched where delicate, promised
complete fulfillment
while keeping realistic intention's
a hidden flaw in plain view.

You waddled next to my once lean stride
and soon the offspring, trying to get it right
from my upbringing of all wrong.

Where to turn? Perhaps the artificial world,
for mine was more a carnival ride
and I killed you, not with gun or knife
but strangulation.

You ran, struggling to breathe.
