In the days of three broadcast networks, the Miss America and Miss Universe competitions were big rating draws.

Not anymore.

Both shows will be on streaming. services in the next few weeks rather than the July and September dates that they once held. Miss America will take place next week from Uncasville, Connecticut and Miss Universe will be held next month in New Orleans.

As for the streaming services, something called Pageants Live will carry Miss America, and Roku will stream Miss Universe.

"Uncasville, Connecticut" is actually the location of the Mohegan Sun,
a big-ass gambling casino. I don't think they're holding the pageant
down at the Uncasville American Legion.
