I didn't recall anyone was watching this.

I checked out the first two seasons from the library and I've watched
through episode 3 of season 1 just to try it. Yeah, I think I enjoyed
it. Damn. Those heroes are amazing corrupt and the big corporation is
exploiting them anyway for merchandising.

The set of disks is overdue so I'll have to get to the rest later.

I saw from A Friend's comments a few years ago that Hughie was drawn to
resemble Simon Pegg in the comics but Pegg had gotten too old to portray
the character. He plays his father.

This is some dark stuff.

I finished season 1. I may wait a few days to start season 2.

I was impressed with the writing. It was well plotted and they generally
avoided coincidence to explain how the unpowered heroes mostly weren't
killed by the evil Supes. Of course, the resolution of the conflict
between Hughie and A-Train was a coincidence but they used it to develop
Hughie's character.

The Deep (Chace Crawford) stole every scene he was in. I could have done
without the Harvey Weinstein nonsense; he was bad enough trying to
"help" with each of his acquatic-life rescue plans resulting in getting
the animal killed.

Homelander (Antony Starr) was a monster and rather psychotic. I'm not
seeing how he had the organizational skills to secretly synthesize his own
inventory of Compound V to create Supe terrorists. Still, we sympathized
with his horrible childhood growing up in a laboratory.

Nice to see Elisabeth Shue again, playing Stillwell. I thought she looked
great. I got a kick out of the way she manipulated Homelander, till she
no longer could. Fatal Freudian slip

I had guessed that Homelander's son was alive, since why bother to
introduce the rape of Butcher's wife into the back story? I didn't guess
that Butcher's wife was alive.

Hmm, I felt differently about the Deep as the character never really
worked for me. I know what the writers were going for and I suppose
they achieved their goals but I couldn't see why they would put
someone like him in the Seven.
>Homelander (Antony Starr) was a monster and rather psychotic. I'm not

I don't know that he synthesized his own inventory rather than take
some of what the organization had. After all in his position as leader
of the seven I'm sure that most of the lower echelon employees would
go along with his wishes. So obtaining some Compound V shouldn't be
that hard.

>Nice to see Elisabeth Shue again, playing Stillwell. I thought she looked

She's managed to do well for herself over the years from moving to CSI
to this show. Hopefully she will find another home for her acting
talents in the future.

Oh there's a reason. Boy howdy is there a reason as you'll see how it
plays out in season 2. Not exactly as I might have expected but it
works given the world they live in.
