You know how police and prosecutors and family members are always blamed
for failure to do anything that would have prevented the next massacre?

Well, what if prosecutors and police were damn well aware of how dangerous
someone was because the perpetrator actually threatened a massacre and
had the means to carry it out? What if the state has red flag laws that
allow weapons to be seized?

What if an entire neighborhood was evacuated because he was threatening to
set off bombs that he had actually made?

What if he weren't prosecuted and nothing was seized?

Anderson Lee Aldrich threatened his grandparents and his neighborhood
and said flat out he wanted to become the next mass killer. He had
loaded guns, had stockpied guns and ammunition, and had made a bomb.

This was during June 2021.

The district attorney has thus far failed to explain why charges were
dropped and Aldrich wasn't prosecuted the first time and nothing was
seized.

I'm just appalled.
