- Royal Rumble results: In the main event, Roman Reigns continued his domination of the WWE Universal title by defeating Kevin Owens. However, the Bloodline was decimated. Sami Zayn refused to hit KO, but attacked Reigns with a chair. In the end, "The Honorary Uce" and Owens were on the mat together. It was a brilliant angle that was the payoff to months of storytelling. In the Rumble matches themselves, Cody Rhodes - making hhis first appearance iwon the men's Rumble from the #30 position, last eliminating Gunther, who stayed in the ring for 71 minutes. Logan Paul made an appearance, but was quickly eliminated by "The American Nightmare". Booker T - now an announcer for NXT - also competed. In the Women's Rumble, Rhea Ripley - who entered number one - won by last eliminating Liv Morgan, the second ntrant.. The Judgment Day member lated 61 mimn Roxanne Perez, Indi Hartwell and Zoey Stark from NXT made their main roster debuts. Nia Jax made her return, but she was eliminated in less than two minutes. Doudrop returned under her old name, Piper Niven. In other matches: Bianca Belair pinned Alexa Bliss after ato retain the Raw Women's title...Bray Wyatt defeated LA KNight in the Mountain Dew Pitch Black match. It was an anything goes match, which ended when Wyatt gave Sister Abigail to Knight. Wyatt taunted Knight after the match, and the one-time Fiend put Knight in a mandible claw. Uncle Howdy showed up and delivered an elbow drop on Wyatt, while the Firefly Funhouse characters

- Raw ioened with the Royal Rumble recap, and Cody showed up. He cut a promo about his career, including leaving WWE for AEW. Then the Judgment Day music hit, and Ripley, Dominik Mysterio and Finn Balor all taunted Cody. Edge appeared and attacked the heels, and he was joined by Cody. In an Elimination Chamber qualifier, Seth "Freakin'" Rollins defeated Chad Gable with a Pedigree. IYO SKY defeated Candice La Rae thanks to help from Bayley. Rhea chose Charlotte Flair as her opponent at WrestleMania. In another Elimination Chamber qualifier, Johnny Gargano defeated Baron Corbin when Gargano countered the End of Days with an inside cradle for the pin. MVP's VIP lounge had Austin Theory as his guest, but Bobby Lashley showed up, spearing MVP. The Miz - dressed in street clother - was ordered by Adam Pearce to face the returning Rick Boogs, who quickly won with a slam. Bayley cut a promo on Becky Lynch, who showed up demanding a cage match for tonight's show. "The Man" bought out Dakota Kai, who was trapped Bayley then agreed to the match. Bronson Reed then took on Dolph Ziggler in another Elimination Chamber qualifier.. Reed won after a splash from the top turnbuckle. The main event was Balor vs. Cody. "The Prince" worked the pec that Rhodes tore last spring. Edge then appeared in the crowd, and fought Dom and Damien Priest. Rhea jumped on Edge, but then Beth Phoenix speared Ripley. Rhodes gave Balor three Cross Rhodes for the win. In the ratings, Raw averaged 2..114 million viewers.
