Gold Star mother Cheryl Rex and wounded Marine SGT Tyler Vargas-Andrews told
very similar stories about President Joe Biden � and neither were impressed
by his apparent need to make every conversation about himself and his late
son Beau Biden.

Vargas-Andrews was wounded in the suicide-bomb attack that rocked Kabul�s
Hamid Karzai International Airport on August 16, 2021 � the same attack that
killed Rex�s son, LCPL Dylan Merola, and 12 other American service members �
and he said that Biden came to visit him while he was recovering in the
hospital.

Vargas-Andrews described the situation, explaining that he had lost his right
arm and his left was all but immobilized, with just the tips of his fingers
sticking out of a massive cast � and he said that Biden did not really greet
him when he entered the room, opting instead to grab his exposed fingers like
he was shaking his hand.

�I was like, ok, that�s weird,� Vargas-Andrews said. �And, you know, almost
immediately starts talking, like, about how their son served in the military.
Doesn�t say anything about what happened, just talking about how their son
served in the military.�

Vargas-Andrews said that by then, his mother was �furious,� and told the
president and his entourage that they needed to take care of her son �for the
rest of his f***ing life.�

He said that the exchange got even stranger after that, explaining that Biden
bent over to talk to him and asked, �What do you want?�

�I was confused. I just got blown up, saw my f***ing friends die next to me,
I just want to be myself,� Vargas-Andrews recalled, saying that his answer
appeared to baffle Biden. The remainder of the conversation � which he said
was brief � avoided any mention of the explosion that nearly ended his life.

Rex, who spoke at Tuesday�s forum in California for the families of those
killed during the Biden administration�s disastrous withdrawal from
Afghanistan, recounted a very similar experience with the Commander in Chief.

A number of Gold Star family members laid into President Joe Biden and
members of his administration, calling them out over the disastrous exit from
Afghanistan that took the lives of their loved ones.

At an event in Escondido, California � hosted by Mayor Dane White and Rep.
Darrell Issa (R-CA) � relatives of the thirteen service members killed by the
suicide bomber at the Kabul airport on August 26, 2021, joined together to
speak publicly about their experiences.

Issa introduced the event, billed as the Afghanistan Gold Star Families
Public Forum, saying that while they had officially allotted five minutes for
each family member who wanted to speak, no one was going to enforce time
limits as long as the families had something to share.

Issa also made it clear that the ultimate goal was to make sure that such a
tragedy never happened again: �Did they have to die? Could we have done
something different? � I only apologize that we didn�t do it sooner.�

Then the family members began to speak, and they had little if anything
positive to say about Biden and the military leaders who had been a part of
the decision-making process during the troop drawdown and withdrawal � and
most were absolutely furious that the administration had then insisted the
withdrawal had been a �success.�

SSG Taylor Hoover�s mother was among those who spoke, and she said that the
blame for her son�s death rested on Biden, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Mark
Milley, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and others. �Incompetent, cowards,
evil,� she said.

Taylor�s concern was immediately apparent when he got to Afghanistan,
Kelly says. He warned her of:

�Chaos, lack of communication, no leadership.� �Command cares nothing
for us.�

back, but her goal in speaking was to make sure that the service members who
came afterward would be treated with the respect earned by the 13 who lost
their lives that day in Kabul.

On Monday, the families of 13 service members who were murdered in a
terrorist attack at the Kabul airport in 2021 held a press conference. They
called on the Biden administration to give them some answers and inform the
public as to how their loved ones actually died in the terrorist attack.

Joe Biden committed the single most egregious act I�ve ever seen a president
undertake: the cowardly, pusillanimous, and disgusting pullout from
Afghanistan without any plan whatsoever. This caused the complete collapse of
Afghanistan to the Taliban, left millions of people behind, and abandoned
hundreds to thousands of Americans left behind in enemy hands. Green card
holders were not able to get out. Translators were left to be murdered.
American soldiers were blown up at the airport because proper security was
not actually guaranteed.

And Biden has never paid the political price for it.

The real story of Biden�s presidency is encapsulated in the arrogance, the
egotism, the disgusting, selfish involvement of the president of the United
States in presiding over the greatest foreign policy disaster of my lifetime,
and then just blithely talking it away.

Biden is not a good person. He is the kind of person who ignores a four-
year-old grandchild for four years, if he thinks it�s politically beneficial
for him to do so. He is the kind of person whose entire career has been
marked by lying about others. He�s the kind of person who slandered a man who
was involved in a car crash in which his wife and one of his children were
killed. He slandered that person as a drunk driver for years. That�s the kind
of person that Joe Biden is.

It is disgusting that this person who was perceived as warm, generous, fuzzy
and cuddly � the guy who nuzzled small children for no reason � was so cold
and calculating that he really did not care what happened to the people who
got left behind, including American soldiers. Biden is a person who cares
first and foremost about himself. And that is perfectly obvious in the way he
treated the Gold Star family members.

That was certainly evident from the testimony of the Gold Star family members
and wounded soldiers who were at the press conference. American service
members were murdered in Kabul and the treatment of these Gold Star family
members was egregious and disgusting.

Biden had talked to the wounded vets, and when he did, he spoke about his son
Beau�s death � who had died of brain cancer. Biden tried to suggest that his
son Beau�s death, which was tragic and terrible, was somehow the equivalent
of people being blown up in combat.

For those who ever have to visit a house of mourning, the rule is: Shut up.
You visit a house of mourning, you shut up and let them talk, because you
don�t know how that person feels, even if you�ve gone through something
similar.

But the media don�t care about Biden�s actions. They don�t care. The Gold
Star family members are of no consequence to them. No one knows their names.
No one gives them coverage. These are not people who you�re going to see on
the nightly news. You�re not going to see interviews with those wounded
soldiers.

This whole �caring grandpa� routine is a lie. He�s a corrupt politician. He
has been for decades. He�s never held a real job outside of the federal
government. And he went around telling people who just lost family members,
young people who were blown up, that he knew how they felt because he had a
son who died of cancer in circumstances entirely unrelated to his military
service.

Gold Star father Darin Hoover said of Biden, �Do what our son did. Be a
grown-ass man. Admit to your mistakes. Learn from them so that this doesn�t
happen ever, ever again.�

People told Biden that the collapse in Afghanistan was going to happen. They
all told him, but he didn�t care because he�s a stubborn ass, a fool, and a
bad person. Across the country, thousands of people were being murdered by
the Taliban, dragged out of their house, and killed. But he didn�t care about
that. He said, �Don�t worry, we�re not going to leave our Afghan allies
behind.�

Spoiler alert: We left tens of thousands of Afghan allies behind. He said we
would do everything we could to provide safe evacuation for our Afghan allies
� but he was a liar. We left all those people to be murdered. He said we
would not leave Americans behind. This, too, was a lie. We left hundreds of
Americans behind.

He said we made clear to the Taliban that any attack � any attack � on our
forces or disruption of our operations at the airport would be met with a
swift and forceful response, that we were keeping a close watch on any
potential terrorist threat at or around the airport.

No, we damned well didn�t. We have dead American service people to prove it.

A couple of days later, he went on national television and claimed the whole
thing had been a wonderful success for his administration, saying, �The
extraordinary success of this mission was due to the incredible skill,
bravery, and selfless courage of the United States military and our diplomats
and intelligence professionals.�

That is who Joe Biden is. That�s what Americans should be focused on going
into the election.

And that�s why these families will never see the light of day on national
news. That�s why you won�t hear the names of the Gold Star family members
outside of conservative media. The names of the soldiers should be household
names, but they won�t be.

Never forget how this man sinned against the American people, against our
Afghan allies, and against our soldiers and their families.

passage of the so-called �Inflation Reduction Act,� a measure many

originally intended for the border wall, making around $2 million since

senators blasted the Biden administration for selling the parts for an

families who suffer from a criminal act committed by someone who crossed our
open borders during the Biden administration,� said Sen. James Lankford (R-
OK).

Sen. Roger Wicker (R-MS), who co-sponsored the bill known as the �Finish It
Act,� told the Post that Biden�s move was �outrageous, behind-the-scenes
maneuvering.�

�This sale is a wasteful and ludicrous decision by the Biden administration
that only serves as further proof they have no shame,� Wicker said.

The Post reported that the GovPlanet auction schedule picked up significantly
in May after Wicker introduced the Finish It Act and increased again days
after the Senate passed the defense package. House Republicans must pass a
matching version of the bill before it becomes law.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis continued to lead recovery efforts in Florida�s
Big Bind over the weekend after it was hit by near-Category 4 Hurricane
Idalia last week.

DeSantis, who is also running for president, stepped off the campaign trail
last week to focus on leading his state�s response to the hurricane.

The governor met with large numbers of residents on Saturday in areas that
had been impacted to find out what they needed from the state and to serve
food to those communities.

President Joe Biden visited the state for what many conservatives said online
was a �photo-op� in an apparent attempt to show that he pays attention to
major disasters in the U.S. after he was widely criticized for his weak
response to the historic fire in Maui last month. The president was also
criticized over his refusal to visit East Palestine after the town was
devastated by a train derailment in February that polluted the environment
and contaminated the water.

�As I�ve told your governor, if there�s anything your state needs, I�m ready
to mobilize that support,� Biden said. �Anything they need related to these
storms. Your nation has your back and we�ll be with you until the job is
done.��

DeSantis� team said on Friday that the governor would not meet with Biden and
suggested that he should not visit the affected area because the security
precautions that the Secret Service would have to take would shut down
recovery efforts.

�We don�t have any plans for the Governor to meet with the President
tomorrow,� DeSantis Press Secretary Jeremy Redfern said in a statement. �In
these rural communities, and so soon after impact, the security preparations
alone that would go into setting up such a meeting would shut down ongoing
recovery efforts.�

Biden said at the press conference in Florida that DeSantis directed him to
go to �where would be the least disruption.�

[Biden has been told that his Hawaii trip was a debacle/ disaster and he�s
trying to do damage control. Biden doesn�t give a flying flip about Florida
because it�s red and he can't steal the election there. He�d like to ignore
them like he did East Palestine.]
