No Spoiler Space...

Walker: Independence (recorded) - "All In" (ep. #10). I found this epie
disappointing, esp. the ending.
A dust storm hits Independence, trapping everyone there insides.
In a completely eye-roll-worthy sublot, Calian and Augustus go off,
out-of-town, to track Calian's long-lost sister down, and encounter...
*no dust storm*!! (and don't even spot evidence of it!!) This would
only work if they were, like, *hundreds of miles* from Independence,
and I'm pretty sure they didn't get that far that fast!
Anyway, first the show remembers about Mark Sheppard as Nathaniel
Hagan, and brings Hagan back to visit Independence in this epie. Kate
seems to have had enough of the town (and Abby/Kai drama - note: Kai is
absent from this episode), and wants to go off with Hagan, but Hagan
talks her out of it. (The show seems to finally write Hagan out at the
end, sending him back to London for an indefinite hiatus...). Anyway,
the saloon owner gives Hagan a bad time for selling out his hotel.
The show also remembers about Lucia Reyes, for her first appearance
in about 2 or 3 episodes. The same saloon owner threatens to take
Lucia's family ranch from her over some outstanding debts.
In a "twist" that really wasn't, as it was clear what was going on
from the start, Kate, Hoyt, and Hagan conspire to help Lucia clear her
debts in a game of poker in which they basically cheat/fleece the
saloon owner. They succeed, even winning the saloon from the foolish
owner - Lucia gives Hoyt the saloon to run, so now Hoyt has 1) a
permanent job (and place on the show), and 2) a reason to not leave
town.
Calian finds his long-lost sister, but she's been "de-nativefied" by
the evol Anglos, and kind of wants nothing to do with Calian's tribe.
Satisfied that she is happy in her current life, Calian leaves her be.
Calian and Augustus return to the tribe to find out Calian was
out-voted for chief by somebody who wants the tribe to wage war on the
railroad. That'll work out well!!
In the most disappointing subplot, Abby and Sheriff Tom Davidson get
trapped, apparently alone, in the hotel. A tourist does show up later,
regaling the two with tales of romance. Tom promises Abby he will go to
look for EVOL!!1! brother Shane when the dust storm clears. (Of course,
we know from the end of the preceeding episode that Tom is holding
Shane captive already!)
In a massive disappointing contrivance/cliche, Abby and Tom fall in
to bed together. (With this development, I hope it's revealed that Tom
killed Liam Collins afterall! Would serve Abby right!) Kate discovers
Abby in bed the next morning, and is so disgusted that I think she's
*done* with Abby!
Meanwhile, Shane has escaped Tom's confinement!!
Next epie of this is on Feb. 16 - I assume the last 3 episodes (ep's
#11, 12 & 13) will air in three weeks between Feb. 16 and March 2.
