I don't care for this guy's repetitious presentation but here are the
facts. Truck driver trying to make a delivery at a grocery store gets
arrested for loitering behind the store while trying to eat muffins and
holding the delivery manifest on a clipboard. The manifest has a logo
that matches the logo on the truck.

After the truck has been backed into the dock, the driver walks around
to the front of the store to ask that the dock door be opened and while
in the store buys a muffin. Upon encountering cops walking back to the
dock, they ask him what he's doing.

"Walking"

That would be what he's doing.

Cop insists that he's loitering. Man argues that he can't be loitering
as he's walking. Cop insists that he's taking a fighting stance (whilst
still holding the muffin and clipboard), handcuffs him really tight, and
adds a resisting arrest charge to loitering. Arrestee asks repeatedly
for a supervisor but this is denied. In the back of the squad car,
arrestees asks cop how he can breathe with his head that far up his ass.
Cop really doesn't like that and knocks his hat off.

Federal jury awards $375,000 for actual damages. These are sheriff's
police, so county trustees quickly settle for $500,000 fearing a high
punitive damage award.

The lawyer doing the video says that California law doesn't have a
requirement that the person identify himself when a police officer asks
when he's just walking. I thought that was universal.

D.A. drops case for insufficient evidence.

I've certainly encountered police officers and security guards who have
demanded to know what I'm doing. I always give one-word answers. I've
never gotten arrested for it.

My only contact with police in recent years have been two speeding
tickets (one where I failed to see a school zone sign even though I
vaguely remembered there was a school nearby and failed to slow from
30 to 20) and drunk driving road checks where you had to stop, roll
down your window the officer says "anything to drink tonight?" I say
"nothing stronger than coffee" the officer laughs and waves me on.

That and attending the court house for jury duty. (Excused on a
defence challenge)

I'd spend a night in jail for a half million bucks.

Where's my harassment?

The last thing I want to do is hurt you, but it is still on my list.
