On Valentine's Day, I watched:

NIGHT COURT:
"Justice Buddies". (JiP) Since I tuned in ten minutes late, I decided to
watch something else and watch this on demand later.

MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATRE 3000:
"SST: Death Flight". This first season ep of MST3K showed a made-for-TV
movie about a supersonic transport plane attempting a world speed record
being sabotaged, putting its passengers and crew in extreme danger. This
"Airplane!" rip-off featured about 100 stars and was ridiculous. Before
taking off on its maiden flight, a disgruntled worker on the plane replaced
the hydaulic fluid with a caustic and flamible detergent. Making matters
worse, they volunteered to carry a crate of Ebola (or some deadly African
plague) to expediate research into making a vacine (Hmm...). While the
passengers do their soap opera dramatics, the crew struggle to find a place
to land after the Parisian airport turns off its lights. Forced between
landing in London (and maybe causing an epidemic), the passengers vote to try
to make it to Senegal because they already have an ongoing epidemic.

What did you watch?

My long(est) workday, so just:

The Last of Us (HBO Max, for which I had to strangely redownload the
app and resign into on my new Apple TV box...) - "Endure and Surive"
(ep. #5).
This ep. was decent, though I also liked the previous ep.
But I saw on Reddit that someone wrote an article about "The Last of
Us'" "guest cast problem", and by this point they definitely do have a
problem - by now, pretty much *every guest cast* member has died.
(Pointing up, again, why it was a major problem, and blunder, to kill
off Bill, unlike in the game...)
But it's virtually a "trope" by this point - "Oh, there's a new
guest on "The Last of Us"? - Don't worry: they'll be dead by the end of
the next episode!!"
I hope this doesn't end up being the case, and they'll change the
formula when Joel finds his brother Tommy, but I bet it continues being
an issue.
Another problem I had with this episode is how it (so patly)
resolved, though I bet this development was right out of the video game.

One thing I forgot to mention about this epie - *That* was Lamar
Johnson (as Henry)?!!

For those not in the "know" - Johnson got his start playing West on the
Canadian teen soap "The Next Step". The dude is an amazing dancer, and
the "The Last of Us" role was pretty much 180° from his "The Next Step"
role.

But they seem to be filming "The Last of Us" in Canada (Calgary), so it
makes sense that they might grab someone like Johnson for a role like
this one.

Anyway, I found this performance pretty impressive, considering where
he started out as an actor!
