George has a point, Jim. If we don't want Jordy's Pervy Uncle posting blind links, we have to follow same rule.

I do not accept placing me in the same league as Jordy, who posts no poetry at all. Dance has this point on his head.

My 'blind' link is titled Johnny Cash---'Hurt' If you don't know what you're getting, there is no need to hit the link.

But not to worry, I'll post no more 'Blind' songs, I mean, we have plenty of original music here to listen to and rules are rules in this group of fools.

Afterall, I'm just a senile chimp.

Thank you

As a professional spammer, I can tell you that posting a hyperlink
simply isn’t enough to get most people to follow it. You really need
to put your heart into it, make people want to go there, like telling
people why you think the song, video or whatever is so awesome.

If there is anyone, today, that doesn't know of or enjoys listening to Johnny Cash, well I'm in the wrong place.

Back to the 'blind' thing.

Dance posted the 'rule' several times because Michael had posted it in regard to the Mack attack-- his way of getting even with the 'other side'

Having to go through the odd theories of Dance on what is real, (according to him) is much more destructive to this group, than constructive. His mental state seems to be slipping.

To say that this group has any rules at all, is laughable but will follow Michael's comment and post no more songs, which I do just to break up whatever is going on, most likely a Rachel blurb.

I've tried my best to keep this group intact rather than tear it apart, (as has Michael) but will no longer post anything but poetry.

Time for eggs.

Enjoy your eggs, and poetry. You’d never make it
as a professional spammer. No offense intended.

This is Unsenet and an unmoderated group. Do as you please. Like I said
before, ignore the noise and enjoy anything you like here as much as you
want. That includes laughing at fuckweasels.

This is NOT, has NEVER BEEN, and will NEVER BE Unsenet. You’re obviously in the wrong place.

Posting songs is fine -- as long as you offer an original comment on them (especially if it's regarding the lyrics). For example: "I hurt myself today/To see if I still feel" is a great line insofar as it sheds insight into human psychology/the human experience: Cash is questioning dehumanizing effects of emotional detachment/stoicism by taking them to extremes. That's a great literary device that we can all benefit from analyzing.

The basic idea is to keep people like Jordy's Pervy Uncle from flooding the group with links that nobody wants to click on. Jordy's Pervy Uncle has *no* understanding of poetry and is therefore *unable* to comment on it. The same holds true for the Donkey and his Stink. Those of us with the ability to do so can only hope to "win" by example. When the Splooges troll us into arguments, we lose -- because, in doing so, we are helping to bring down the overall quality of AAPC. If, otoh, we lead by example, the Splooges are helpless -- because they lack the intelligence, education, and cultural understanding to do so in return.

Your words, as usual, make complete sense but we are inside a group of nothing but nonsense.

Poetry and Comment have been long lost to ego, bottles of wine and a failed politician, complete with side orders.

The Cash tune is a cover of the Nine Inch Nails song. It relates to the loss of all he had as an "Empire of dirt"

His wife died soon after the release and Cash himself sang his own memorial, soon to follow his wife.

Hard to watch without watery eyes.

The link is above if anyone is interested.

I will not post another.

This group is a free for all filled with supposed grown-ups.

My contribution to this joint allows me a bit of ad-lib.

Please remember, I am senile, and compassion should be shown.

Speaking of Cash, “Money talks” means that wealth
gives authority and influence to those who possess it,
even if they’re dumb as dirt and batshit crazy, so in my
capacity as a professional spammer working for those
motivated by greed for the Almighty Dollar, “In God We
Trust” must figure prominently, though often subliminally,
in every interpersonal exchange. Thanks for the donation.

Good cover by Johnny Cash, but I prefer his original work, such as "Rosanna's Going Wild" from 1967:

For example: "I hurt myself today/To see if I still feel" is a great line insofar as it sheds insight into human psychology/the human experience: Cash is questioning dehumanizing effects of emotional detachment/stoicism by taking them to extremes. That's a great literary device that we can all benefit from analyzing.

Ooh, I haz the original thought and commentary you just know you were craving to dread...
and I dedicate it to the Dunce, court advisor to the Troll King sWilly!

I, Dunce, hurt someone today
to see if I can make them feel
pain with the vile things I say
to prove my superiority is real

The simplest of lyrical prose, perhaps too simple (not enough bludgeoning words)- but that's what works for mainstream music- so I cannot diss it. It will be loved more and longer than I. Mebbe too cliche, but what is cliche other than something that was good enough to become overused. And one person's stale "cliche" could be an other's savory souffle. Dem whippin' fools could conceivably come up with something similar if they had a clue about consistency and coherency. And the lyrics are relevant to this group 's suffering and the fools, Dockery and Dunce, that try to rule it:
"What have I become?
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know goes away
In the end"
"And you could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt"
"I wear this crown of thorns
Upon my liar's chair
Full of broken thoughts
I cannot repair"
--'Hurt' ~~Nine Inch Nails

I couldn't say it any better about them!

No worries, you still have time. Operators are standing by.

Well. Well said 'n all- this gang cannot argue with it.
But since I'm not with your gang, we here must convene war council to consider this proposition...
But what would I be without war? This may become existential! But I'm not so foul to burn people's favored places down, but this place was already smouldering ruins before my arrival.
So much to contemplate-- do I write about the new fad plaid or about the Iliad?
I know! I shall re-imagine things like Apocalypse Now did with Vietnam and the Heart of Darkness, but I shall do it with the surreal mess that is America!

Never fear -- I am not proposing an armistice.

Donkeys were meant to be whipped.

AAPC will always be plagued with Donkeys and Splooges, and those of us who are so inclined will continue to whip them six ways to Sunday. But AAPC needs to be more than just a Donkey whipping ground. We need to initiate and conduct poetry-related discussions, comment on and/or critique one another's poetry, and direct others here to poetry magazines/publishers that we think their poetry might be suited to.

I agree that the flame wars are part of the attraction (at least for me) at AAPC. However, there must be enough positive elements to counterbalance the trolls. I've recently finished my third poetry collection, and intend to be participating in more literary discussions/critiques at AAPC. And while I shall continue to slap around the Donkey and his socks, I will also continue to report/block the majority of their posts.
