I've gained back a modicum of respect for Hugh Grant. He had no patience for
this insipid red carpet nonsense and he didn't try and hide it at all.

No idea but then does anyone really care about who is being forced to
fill in time by asking inane questions of these people. Occasionally
you can get a good question and response but most of it isn't worth
your time.

I guess my question would be why is Hugh Grant there if was barely in
the movie and isn't interested in any of the movies/cast winning then
why show up? I could see doing it if it was your first time but he
must have been to tens, if not hundreds of these events by now.

Her name is Ashley Graham. (No, I don't know who she is, either.)

I poked the Googler in all the right places, and it said Graham is "an
American plus-sized model and television presenter. After a lifetime of
modeling, Graham had her debut on the cover of the Sports Illustrated
Swimsuit Issue in 2016." If you look up some of her old pics, you'll
see she's been considerably overweight in the past.

Her SI cover:

Probably was there to meet and press the flesh for upcoming projects.

Back when I used to occasionally be Eliza's +1 at stuff like this--
movie premieres and the like, not the Oscars-- a lot of the time she
only went because her agent needed her to talk to (and charm) someone
about something she was interested in doing. And to keep her face in the
public eye so she'd be 'relevant'. It was all so superficial and
exhausting, I don't know how any of them put up with it.

He was a presenter, according to a caption during the video.. I have no
idea what award he presented; I haven't watched the Oscars in decades.

Oh that's right. I saw some tweets about the two of them being today
for the first time in decades (or at least that's what the tweets
said)
