He was nominated for the Hans Christian Andersen Award in 1984.

He was also a screenwriter, director and actor, starting in 1964.

"Flemming Quist Møller, who was an children's author, director, cartoonist, screenwriter, drummer and actor from Denmark, has sadly passed away from heart attack at the age of 79.

"He is well known for Jungledyret Hugo alongside its sequels and its animated series, The Fairytaler, Black Harvest, The Great Bear, Beyond Beyond, A Tale of Two Mozzies, Benny's Bathtub, Strømer, Move Me, etc.

"He is also a collaborator with Jannik Hastrup for his experimental animation, production designer, composer, producer and editor.
