No Spoiler space - sorry.

The Ark (recorded) - "A Slow Death Is Worse" (ep. #7). This was
actually a reasonably good episode because, 1) it stayed away from
science (mostly), and 2) it was mostly a character-driven episode.
Ark 3 doesn't acknlowledge hails from our "heroes", and they
discover that Ark 3 was also "attacked" with the "acid element" (it's
not an "element"!), so Garnet sends over a "boarding party" -
inexplicably, it includes both Lane and Brice, which should never
happen! (I could see sending Lane, but Brice is too valuable, and
certainly not both at once...) and also Eva(!?!) again.
Conveniently, they find everybody on Ark 3 dead, except for one
young woman, and a guy who soon dies himself. Oh, and they can't access
the logs or anything.
The young woman, named Kelly, is played by Samantha Glassner, and
despite her promiment role in the episode, she doesn't even get "guest
star" billing, merely "co-starring" billing (which is the billing level
that Tamara Radovanovic the security babe has been stuck at this whole
time!!). I looked her up on IMDb, and this is Glassner's only credit
(explains the low billing level!)... But then I realize that "The Ark"
was created by Dean Devlin and **Jonathan Glassner** - Samantha must
surely be either Glassner's daughter (most likely this), wife or
sister. Still, Samantha Glassner is an attractive redhead, so I'm not
complaining!!
Anyway, Samantha Glassner's character, Kelly, ends up being an
"exposition dump", catching all of Ark 1 up on what happened with the
Ark project after they left - 1) they finally licked FTR-travel!
(though "lost" Ark 2 in the process) and 2) they accelerated the Ark
project - and also, what happened to Earth while they've been asleep
(answer: it's GONE, baby!!). Meanwhile, Felix discovers his husband
dead on Ark 3, and Kelly later informs Felix that his daughter died on
Earth.
I am disappointed that my theory that Ark 1 was in cryo much longer
than they thought has now been explicitly ruled out, apparently. :|
Dumb Alicia and Angus come up with the dumbest "solution" *ever*
(it's CSI:HORATIO!!1!-level dumb!) to salvage to recordings of the
"attack" on Ark 3... and discover that it was attacked by a
FTL-capabable *Ark 15*!!
Garnet and crew then decide to strip Ark 3 for parts, esp. their
FTL-travel device. Felix and Kelly find the guns on Ark 1, and Felix
dumps them into space, but not before Kelly secretly grabs a gun for
herself. (Something definitely seems "off" about Kelly, and she seems
to be hiding something. Also, her whole story about the remaining alive
members of Ark 3 falling into warring factions doesn't seem to ring
true.)
Eva and Brice try to take the FTL-device, but dumb Eva triggers a
fail-safe... that triggers Ark 3's "self-destruct" sequence! (It's
right out of every sci-fi spaceship movie, ever!!) Lane is forced to
wake William Trust in order to get the command code to cancel the
self-destruct.
Next episode: Ark 1 goes FTL, and William Trust and wife go public!!
Final thoughts: I'm wondering if it is going to be revealed that
Kelly is from an Ark 15 boarding party, and is lying about being a part
of Ark 3... Which means she's a danger to Ark 1!!
