X-Subject: U.S. Official Calls On Lizzo To Help Teach `#BlackGirlMagic' To Afghan Women Subjugated By The Taliban
X-Newsreader: WinVN 0.99.12N (x86 32bit)
 by: Ubiquitous - Thu, 16 Feb 2023 16:15 UTC

On Wednesday, the United States Charg dAffaires Karen B. Decker posed what
might be the greatest question of our time, and the response to it could hold
the answer to peace in the Middle East.

Are Afghans familiar with #BlackGirlMagic and the movement it inspired? the
woman who specializes in conflict resolution and crisis management in
Afghanistan on behalf of the State Department tweeted. Do Afghan girls need
a similar movement? What about Afghan Women? Teach me, ready to learn.
@Beyonce @lizzo @ReginaKing.

The obvious answer is that, no, Afghans are not familiar with
#BlackGirlMagic. Most people probably are not. A cursory glance shows that
the hashtag was popularized in 2016 as part of a global effort to promote
positivity amongst black females.

Were using it to celebrate ourselves because historically black women
havent had the type of support that other groups have, Cashawn Thompson, a
caregiver from Washington, D.C., told the BBC at the time. Black Girl Magic
tries to counteract the negativity that we sometimes hold within ourselves
and is sometimes placed on us by the outside world.

The phrase has since been shared hundreds of thousands of times across social
media.

On Wednesday, when this author clicked on the hashtag for more detail, the
top result was a video of a curvaceous black woman bending on all fours on
the ground, posing in suggestive manners while looking at the camera. The
user who shared that tweet observed, The hips spread out when she takes
backshots #BlackGirlMagic.

Admittedly, this author has no idea what that means, but it isnt tough to
guess that it is about something pornographic. In the words of Supreme Court
Justice Potter Stewart, You know it when you see it. Needless to say, that
post in question will not be shared.

It is probably safe to assume that is not what Decker envisioned in
Afghanistan. Instead, it seems likely that she is inquiring about how to
start a new hashtag movement to support the women facing ultimate oppression
under Islamic Extremist totalitarians.

In reaction to Deckers idea, the conservative writer and editor Christoper
Bedford bluntly observed, We are not a serious country.

We are not a serious country. https://t.co/MbOEFS6Bdc

 Christopher Bedford (@CBedfordDC) February 15, 2023

Popular Twitter user @ComfortablySmug tweeted, We are ruled by
administrative class paper pushers like this, who think every problem can be
solved by listening to a Beyonce song.

think every problem can be solved by listening to a Beyonce song

Is it a mystery why the Taliban took Afghanistan in a week?

Or why China sends balloons over America?

Because their opponent is literally a Karen

 Comfortably Smug (@ComfortablySmug) February 15, 2023

Is it a mystery why the Taliban took Afghanistan in a week? Or why China
sends balloons over America? Because their opponent is literally a Karen, he
added.

Indeed, since the Taliban took over the country in less than three days after
Biden botched U.S. troop withdrawal, women have faced a living hell.

In early January, The Daily Wire reported that the terror group has enacted a
series of strict laws, especially restricting womens freedom. In December,
Taliban leaders banned women from attending universities in the country.
Women are also under other strict regulations, such as a rule banning them
from traveling outside their homes without a male guardian.

At the time, State Department spokesman Ned Price told the media, We are
working with our partners throughout the government and also with like-minded
partners around the world to devise an appropriate set of consequences that
register our condemnation for this outrageous edict on the part of the
Taliban, while also protecting our status as the worlds leading humanitarian
provider for the people of Afghanistan.

It now seems the big solution might be a hashtag. What doesnt really make
sense is calling on Lizzo for this job. The larger-than-life singer has
claimed she is oppressed in America as a female. So what would her message be
to women who actually have no freedoms?

One should hope we never find out and that the U.S. government creates a
better solution than #BlackGirlMagic for the situation at hand.

We're a country whose hospitals-- the bastions of science and
rationality-- can't define what the female of our species is.

We're a country that believes its not only okay but desirable to take
5-year-olds to sexually-charged drag shows and teach them how to tip a
stripper.

We're a country sitting on vast energy resources that it refuses to use
because 'climate change', and then makes itself dependent on dictators
and adversaries for the energy needs we could easily meet ourselves if
we wanted to.

We're a country that increasingly cares more for and illegal aliens and
criminals than its own citizens and spends mountains of its citizens'
money for their benefit.

No, we are not a serious country anymore.

X-Subject: WATCH: Kamala Harris Has No Idea What Her Job Duties Are
 by: Ubiquitous - Wed, 15 Mar 2023 17:20 UTC

Historically, vice presidents arent all that important as it relates to the
day-to-day duties of running the country, but when you have an octogenarian
in the White House who or may not be suffering early stages of dementia, the
position tends to have a bit of a larger role in the administration.

So it was a bit concerning when current Vice President Kamala Harris
struggled to explain to Late Night host Stephen Colbert what exactly her
job duties are around the Biden White House:

Sarah Palin was dragged by the media for much less Kamala Harris
can't answer a question about what the vice president's duties are
on late-night TV. #CRINGE pic.twitter.com/oB5yzX0kQK

 Caleb Parke (@calebparke) March 16, 2023

One of the themes of the show [Veep] is that her character, Selina Meyer, is
frustrated by the sometimes vague duties of the role. Its a high
constitutional office, but does not describe what youre supposed to be
doing, Colbert said. Does that ring true? Like, whats the actual role on a
daily basis as you have found it?

Well, I have the great privilege of serving with Joe Biden, who is the
President of the United States, Harris responded.

Does he understand what its like to be vice president? Colbert then
jokingly asked.

He does, he does, Harris replied with a laugh. He really is a true partner
and he understands that job, Harris said before rambling and concluding that
Biden is an extraordinary leader. He really is.

To his credit, Colbert rebutted, Thats an excellent answer and, uh, the
question was, whats the job of the vice president and your answer is part
of the job, Im guessing?

Harris was then able to articulate one example of other duties, such as going
to the Munich Security Conference.

Of course, Harris actually has been tasked with plenty under Biden. Nearly a
year ago, she was tapped as Bidens border czar to deal with the deluge of
illegal aliens flooding into the country via Mexico.

Suffice it to say, she failed at that one.

Perhaps Harris real duty is acting as President Joe Bidens insurance policy
against impeachment or being knocked off the ballot in 2024. He cannot be
removed because then shell head up the ticket.

Even a Democrat is wise enough to know that would be a total disaster which
is really saying something compared to the direction the country is currently
headed.

of Irish people at a St. Patricks Day event Friday.

While speaking at the annual Friends of Ireland Luncheon with Irish
Prime Minister Leo Varadkar Friday afternoon, Biden made a series of
jokes stereotyping Irish people as drunks and criminals. Biden said
that because he doesnt drink and doesnt have relatives in jail, hes
really not Irish. Twitter users pointed out the stereotypes, and also
that he does, in fact, have relatives in legal trouble.

Biden began his remarks with a quote attributed to the 20th-century
Irish diplomat Shane Leslie. Every St. Patricks Day, every Irishman
goes out to find another Irishman to make a speech to, Biden said.
Well, thats why Im here.

He then recounted a story from his time as vice president, when a
previous prime minister, or Taoiseach, told former President Obama to
stop sending Biden on trips. [T]he Taoiseach I brought him into the
Oval and he sat down. And before Barack could say anything, he said
For Gods sake, Barack, let the boy come home. Biden said in a
butchered Irish accent. Let him come home. And he said, You keep
sending him to places like Afghanistan, Iraq, and all the let him
come home.

Next, Biden talked about a previous trip to Ireland to visit his
ancestral family. It was a great experience, he said. Id been to
Ireland many times, but not to actually look up to find my actual
family members and there are so many. And they actually werent in
jail.

And one of the things that and the Finnegans were from County
Louth, he said of his distant family line. And theyre still if you
go to County Louth, theres still a place called Finnegans Pub,
which is its related to my family. And Im the only Irishman youve
ever met, though, thats never had a drink. So, Im okay. Im really
not Irish.

Commenters under a New York Post tweet blasted Biden for stereotyping
the Irish.

Weve found the one nationality its still acceptable to make fun of!
one Twitter user commented.

guy did the first irish american hatecrime since like 1910, one user
tweeted.

As an Irishman, I wouldnt even *mind* this, and would think it kinda
funny If it didnt come from a guy whos continually lecturing me and
everyone else how racist *WE* are another user wrote.

This is about the most Irish-American (pejorative) thing a yank can
say, said another.

Joe Biden is in fact less Irish than Paul Ryan and Kevin McCarthy,
The Spectator editor at-large Ben Domenech noted. Biden is an English
name and his paternal lineage is overwhelmingly English.

Other users mocked Bidens comment about not having family in jail,
noting that several members of the Biden family are currently in
trouble with the law.

Joe Bidens relatives have had many MANY serious run ins with the law
but have managed to avoid jail time in every case, the New York
Posts Jon Levine tweeted, linking to a Post article from 2020
detailing legal troubles of his niece Caroline, daughter Ashley,
brother Frank, and son Hunter.

Hes sent two kids and a niece to court-ordered rehab, one user
added. The Bidens are doing more than their part to ruin the curve.

No but he has a son who isnt sober and should be in jail, said
another, referring to Hunters shady business dealings.

Imagine you worked your tail off to make it in Division I basketball, worked
your tail off to get your team to the Big Dance as a scrappy underdog and 16
seed, only to get demolished by nearly 30 points.

Could life get any more demoralizing? Well, if you were a member of the
Howard University mens basketball team, it did.

On Thursday after Howard was smoked by the number 1 seed University of
Kansas, in waltzed Vice President Kamala Harris to the locker room for a
pep-talk for the players from her alma mater.

Harris, Howard class of 1986, gave her best kindergarten-esque speech to the
Bisons after they just had their hearts broken.

You guys are so good, you guys are so good, Harris said in her typical,
drawn-out, patronizing voice. You played hard. You played to the very last
second.

She continued, You made all us Bisons, so, sooo proud.

Harris is nothing if not consistent in her style of speech. After having to
watch Willy Browns ex-girlfriend give public addresses, one thing is
evident: She never knows what she is talking about and just throws out terms
she thinks are associated with her audience until she receives applause.

So for example, if shes in front of a woke mostly black crowd right after a
natural disaster, shell spout off about equity-based hurricane aid, while
throwing in every other woke buzzword under the sun. In front of Howard
basketball, she threw around terms such as hard work, excellence, and
hustle while never really making a point.

The veep ended her speech by awkwardly searching for the head coach, inviting
the team to play hooky one Friday at the White House. She received polite
applause.

As one Twitter user put it, You just lost and this is what you have for a
post-game speech? These are college age kids and she talks to them like they
just played their first YMCA game. I wonder what she gave out for treats?!?

You just lost and this is what you have for a post-game speech?
These are college age kids and she talks to them like they just
played their first YMCA game. I wonder what she gave out for
treats?!? ??????????. https://t.co/zsYserfTBS

 Jeff Lindquist (@JBLindquist15) March 17, 2023

Indeed, its tough to see how the pain of losing could get any worse for
those young men, but having to listen to Harris rambling would do it.

Come on, guys, he disparaged white people! Remember, that's not only
okay, it's encouraged now.

Good for him - I did the same thing in 2016 though I suspect he didn't
pay for his graveside walk whereas I did.

Fact is in 2023 unless your family is right off the boat you're
probably some kind of mongrel so I wouldn't complain too much. At
least in my case both my mother's parents were born in Ireland. (My
father's side is about 5-6 European nationalities primarily English,
German and French)

My kids keep wanting me to do 23AndMe but I avoid it - my daughter's
says more than 50% Eastern European which is only shocking on the
"more than 50%" part because her mother's ancestry is Poland and
various other countries in that end of Europe and to be MORE than 50%
means some of that had to come from me which is doubtful.

I wouldn't think so. My father's parents were both German, but my
mother's mother was too. And probably a few of my paternal grandfather's
line, which on the male side is English for a few generations, but not
all. So your father's side might have intermarried with some eastern
european along the way.

X-Subject: Far-Left Rep. Bowman Screams `Cowards,' `Gutless' At Republicans About Guns. Massie Calmly Points One Thing Out.

In the wake of the Nashville school shooting, far-Left Rep. Jamaal Bowman
(D-NY) screamed at Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) on Wednesday that Republicans
were cowards in a rant about gun control, prompting Massie to calmly
respond that just as members of Congress have protection, children in schools
need protection, too.

Bowman has made numerous statements in the past about defunding police,
although he reportedly asked for a special police detail to protect his home
in 2021.

Yelling at the top of his voice, Bowman screamed, They wont do anything to
save the lives of our children at all. Cowards. Pressure them. Force them to
respond to the question, Why the hell dont you do anything to save
Americas children? and let them explain that all the way up until Election
Day 2024. Let them explain that all the way up until Election Day 2024.
Theyre freaking cowards. Theyre gutless.

Massie, who happened to be walking by, interjected, What are you talking
about?

Im talking about gun violence, Bowman yelled.

You know, theres never been a school shooting in a school that allows
teachers to carry, Massie calmly responded.

That prompted an enraged tirade from Bowman, who bellowed: Carry guns? More
guns lead to more death! More guns lead to more death! Look at the data!
Youre not looking at any data. Youre carrying water for the gun lobby! Look
at the data. More guns lead to more death. States that have open carry laws
have more death. States that have open carry laws have more death. Are you
listening to what Im saying? Children are dying! Nine-year-old children. The
solution is not arming teachers. Have you ever worked in a school? Have you
ever worked in a school? Have you ever worked in a school? Have you ever
worked in a school? Its a yes or no question. Have you ever worked in a
school? You will not answer my question. Dont stop and talk to me.

Youre screaming, Massie pointed out.

Okay. Ill bring it down a notch, Bowman said.

Massie turned to people videoing the incident. All right folks. Ive got a
bill to repeal the federal

Bowman resumed yelling. I worked in a school for 20 years!

Im not talking to you anymore. Youre screaming. Ive got a solution,
Massie said mildly.

Bowman then posited that his view was correct because of his prior career: I
was screaming before you interrupted me. I was a school counselor. I was a
middle school principal. I was in cafeterias protecting kids every day of my
career.

Massie gestured to the security around them: Weve got guns here to protect
us And the kids should have somebody to protect them. Every school thats
allowed it has never had a shooting. Not even an accidental discharge in any
of the schools.

Rep. Jamaal Bowman and Rep. Thomas Massie just got in something of
a shouting match off the House floor over gun control

Massie later tweeted, He wanted to discuss solutions to school shootings,
but when I offered a solution he began shouting. When he asked for data, I
gave him data, but then he just shouted more. Bring facts. Theres never been
a school shooting in the hundreds of schools that allow staff to carry.

Good evening comrades, welcome to the brave new world in which
political enemies arent considered innocent until proven guilty
but rather, are graciously afforded the right to a trial to prove
their innocence.

Dont take my word for it, listen to former Speaker of the House Nancy
Pelosi (D-CA). In reaction to Manhattan Alvin Bragg indicting former
President Donald Trump, Pelosi tweeted: The Grand Jury has acted upon
the facts and the law. No one is above the law, and everyone has the
right to a trial to prove innocence. Hopefully, the former President
will peacefully respect the system, which grants him that right.

The Grand Jury has acted upon the facts and the law.

No one is above the law, and everyone has the right
to a trial to prove innocence.

Hopefully, the former President will peacefully respect
the system, which grants him that right.

 Nancy Pelosi (@SpeakerPelosi) March 31, 2023

Right now, Trump is guilty in Pelosis eyes. In fact, he has been
considered guilty by the Democrats ever since he beat Hillary Clinton
in 2016. Thats why for nearly seven years, Congress, the Justice
Department, the FBI, the State of New York, and more have been trying
to nab the Bad Orange Man. They just havent been able to actually
get him in handcuffs as theyve dreamed about.

Finally, the Left found just the guy to do it for em: A Soros-backed
prosecutor who demoted 52% of felonies to misdemeanors in 2022.

DA Alvin Bragg is funded by Soros.

Bragg downgraded 52% of felonies in 2022 to misdemeanors.

A federal prosecutor & the FEC passed on Trumps case bc
its a nothing burger.

But Bragg elevates it to a felony charge against a former
POTUS.

Blatant political targeting.

 Liz Wheeler (@Liz_Wheeler) March 30, 2023

In reaction to Pelosis stunning tweet, Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch,
tweeted: Pelosi confirms malicious political prosecution by suggesting
Trump is guilty until proven innocent!

Gerry Callahan, writer and of host of The Gerry Callahan Show,
tweeted: Holy sh**. Someone has to tell this hag that no one has to
PROVE THEIR INNOCENCE in America. At least thats how it worked for the
first 240 years. Then Trump came along and broke their brains.

 Gerry Callahan (@GerryCallahan) March 31, 2023

What exactly is Trump accused of again? Well, as explained by attorney
and law professor Jonathan Turley, it seems like it will be a legally
pathetic case that defies precedent by claiming that an alleged hush
money payment to a porn star was really a political expenditure, not a
personal expense, that ran afoul of the law. If that seems like
political chicanery to you, its because it would be and would lead to
far more volatile politics in America. As Turley said on Fox News,
Donald Trump may be the first former president to be indicted, but if
this is the precedent, he wont be the last.

Donald Trump is now the first former President of the United
States ever to be indicted. There is no coming back from this
moment. pic.twitter.com/pHuXdDRAka

 Tucker Carlson (@TuckerCarlson) March 31, 2023

It certainly seems America is heading in that direction.

When the most powerful woman in Washington doesnt even bother to hide
her blatant disregard for a cornerstone of Americas justice system
innocent until proven guilty then it is plain as day that this case
is rotten to its core as if you needed any more evidence.

X-Subject: Ex-Virginia Schools Boss Disgraced In Trans Rape Case Shows Up For Court With Earrings And Painted Nails
X-Newsreader: WinVN 0.99.12N (x86 32bit)
 by: Ubiquitous - Tue, 11 Apr 2023 11:38 UTC

The former Northern Virginia schools superintendent charged with covering up
a rape by a gender-bending student showed up to court Thursday wearing
earrings and painted nails, in the latest twist in a saga that has captivated
the nation.

In December, Scott Ziegler was criminally indicted for three misdemeanors
based on the work of a grand jury investigating how Ziegler lied about a rape
by a skirt-wearing boy while the Loudoun County school board was seeking to
pass a transgender policy. The boy remained in Loudoun schools and went on to
violently assault a second girl in a classroom. Zieglers spokesman, Wayde
Byard, was also indicted on a felony count.

On Thursday, however, the formerly businessman-like superintendent showed up
for a court date sporting earrings and fingernails painted black.

Nick Minock, a reporter for local ABC affiliate WJLA, captured a photo of the
superintendent entering the Loudoun County courthouse, the same one where the
rapist was found guilty.

Loudoun Countys fired Superintendent appeared in court today with
his ears pierced and nails painted black.

Story: https://t.co/3C2m6trjiZ @7NewsDC pic.twitter.com/YvkL93FFIg

 Nick Minock (@NickMinock) April 7, 2023

Its absolutely infuriating how Scott Ziegler dared to show up in court like
that, said Scott Mineo, a parent who has sounded the alarm about ideology in
the Loudoun schools. It just drives home the point parents have been
furiously shouting about for three damn years.

Even though the school board fired Ziegler the same month he was indicted, it
has refused to release an internal report it paid a law firm to write
analyzing how the school system responded to the assaults. It has even gone
so far as to resist a subpoena from state Attorney General Jason Miyares.

Thursdays hearing was to help a judge adjudicate whether Loudoun County
Public Schools can continue to conceal the document or will be forced to turn
it over. Several school board members were in court and planned to testify at
a later court date, Minock reported.

In a court filing this week, the attorney general wrote that, In opposing
the Commonwealths motion for a subpoena duces tecum for the Report, Loudoun
County Public Schools (LCPS) and LCSB [Loudoun County School Board] have
chosen the side of Defendant Scott Ziegler over transparency and
accountability.

Over a year after an assailant was found criminally responsible beyond a
reasonable doubt for committing forcible sodomy, abduction, and sexual
battery at school, LCSB inexplicably continues to refer to these incidents as
two alleged sexual assaults at LCPS. LCSBs basic failure to acknowledge
the fully-adjudicated nature of these cases, the equivalent of violent felony
convictions if committed by an adult, raises significant questions about what
LCSB is trying to keep a secret from the prosecution and the public in the
Report, the document said, according to WJLA.

The school district is claiming attorney-client privilege, but the attorney
general said that doesnt apply to government agencies against other
government agencies. And it reminded the court that school board members had
previously told the public that they planned for the report, which was sold
to the public as an accountability measure, to become public.

The grand jurys report spent much of its time faulting LCPS Division Counsel
Robert Falconi, saying it likely would have indicted him for witness
tampering, except that such a statute did not exist in Virginia. Falconi
testified on Thursday.

After the skirt-wearing boy was charged with rape, LCPS did not discipline
him, falsely claiming that federal Title IX rules prevented it from doing so.
It transferred him to another school, where Ziegler personally knew the boy
had continued to harass girls, but the only discipline that was meted out was
having him write a promise that he would stop. He then went on to violently
attack another girl in an empty classroom. In court, the judge said there was
also a third victim.

The bizarre series of events has been unfolding since The Daily Wire broke
the story in October 2021. The grand jury report found that school
spokespeople sought to stonewall The Daily Wire and that even school board
members learned details of the apparent coverup only from this news site.

The story reported how weeks after the rape, the school board held a
contentious meeting to advance a transgender bathroom policy and dismiss
concerns by parents who thought there could be safety implications.

Ziegler said, To my knowledge, we dont have any record of assaults
occurring in our restrooms.

Weve heard it several times tonight from our public speakers but the
predator transgender student or person simply does not exist, he said.

X-Subject: Ethically Questionable AOC Demands Justice Thomas Be Impeached Over Allegations Of Questionable Ethics
X-Newsreader: WinVN 0.99.12N (x86 32bit)
 by: Ubiquitous - Tue, 11 Apr 2023 11:40 UTC

Oh, the hypocrisy.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is demanding the impeachment of Supreme
Court Justice Clarence Thomas after he was accused of accepting luxury gifts
from a top Republican donor.

This is beyond party or partisanship, AOC said on Twitter. This degree of
corruption is shocking almost cartoonish. Thomas must be impeached.

Ocasio-Cortez took the opportunity to impugn the entire Supreme Court, headed
up by Chief Justice John Roberts.

Barring some dramatic change, this is what the Roberts court will be known
for: rank corruption, erosion of democracy, and the stripping of human
rights, the Democrat said.

An investigation by ProPublica alleges that Thomas took luxury trips and
traveled on yachts and private jets owned by Dallas businessman Harlan Crow.
The publication said Thomas never disclosed the travel.

But AOC is herself being probed for allegedly accepting lavish gifts.
Documents released last month by the Congressional Ethics Committee show she
begged for free tickets worth $70,000 to the Met Gala, the worlds number
one social and fashion event.

She then stiffed the makers of her dress and the hotel where she stayed for
months, plus sought to cover up the whole mess, according to House
investigators probing her for ethics violations.

CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP

The 33-year-old former bartender decided she wanted to rub elbows with the
rich and beautiful people in Manhattan at the 2021 annual Met Gala. So the
media darling traded off her position to get an invite helped along after
much prodding by her campaign staffer, The New York Post reported.

She cozied up to the super-famous Vogues Anna Wintour, who runs the Gala,
and got an invitation for her and her boyfriend that said theyd be guests
of Vogue.

The documents from the Congressional Ethics Committee which last month
extended the probe also showed her lawyers had cautioned her against
attending the Gala, noting that she couldnt accept a gift that large. The
rule is clear: Lawmakers are prohibited from accepting gifts from companies
that use lobbyists, which Vogues parent company, Advance Media Publications,
does.

In a message to her staff, an attorney for AOC advised her how she could
attend legally. The Congresswoman could accept an invitation from [the Met],
but not from Vogue, he wrote, according to The Daily Mail. Since Advance
Publications is a registered lobbyist, well need to be extra careful!

But she went anyway. Then the alleged coverup began.

The day after the gala however, Vogue staffers reached out to AOCs office
to inform them they had received a number of media inquiries about the nature
of the congresswomans attendance, and to say they were telling outlets she
had been Wintours personal guest instead of saying she was a guest of the
magazine, the Mail wrote.

The documents also show that AOC was billed $1,300 for her dress, but her
staff was able to cut $1,000 cut off the price tag, along with getting the
price of her $635 shoes knocked down by listing them as rentals, too, the
Mail reported.

The socialist then failed to pay back thousands of dollars in bills from the
Gala night, including $344.85 in makeup costs that had to be passed on to a
collections agency as extremely overdue.

She also took so long to pay back $477.73 for hair styling that a rep for the
stylist reached out to her staff and said it would look terrible if we had
to file a complaint with the NY Dept of Labor against Alexandria Ocasio-
Cortez,' the Mail reported. It took her nearly a year to pay that bill,
Business Insider reported.

And it took eight months for her to pay more than $1,000 for transportation
that was footed by Conde Nast, and she took nearly a year to pay $4,602.92 in
bills at the Carlisle Hotel from the evening, according to the Post.

In addition, a publicist associated with the company that supplied Ocasio-
Cortez with her rental items a gown, a handbag and shoes provided a final
invoice to the campaign staffer in September 2021 for about $990, but it went
unpaid for months. The company then identified in April that $5,579.99 worth
of unpaid goods and services had been provided to Ocasio-Cortez and her
partner for the event, the report said, NBC News reported.

By the way, its worth noting that AOC only paid her bills after House
investigators began their probe.

Maybe the congresswoman should wait to find out if the allegations against
Thomas are proven true. Whats that saying again about people in glass
houses?

X-Subject: Immigrant Republican Lawmaker Blasts Democrat Lawmaker Expelled From TN House: He Called Me A `Slur'
 by: Ubiquitous - Tue, 11 Apr 2023 12:02 UTC

Sabi Kumar, an Indian-American Republican member of the Tennessee House of
Representatives, slammed one of the Democrat lawmakers that was expelled this
week from the legislature for allegedly making racist remarks.

Kumar accused Nashville Democrat Rep. Justin Jones, who was expelled in an
overwhelming 72-25 vote after participating in last weeks storming of the
state capitol building by far-Left gun control activists, of calling him a
brown face of white supremacy.

I am an immigrant, everybody knows. I have been in this country for 53
years, and when it was 50 years, you recognized me for that. It was a
celebration in my mind and for my family, Kumar said. In those 53 years in
America, I have never encountered a racial slur. Im really not aware that
any of that applies to me. I live a good life. Yet you on tape call me a
brown face. Yessir, its on tape.

Kumar said that Jones became physically confrontational with him to the point
where the chambers sergeant-at-arms had to intervene.

You walked up to me, you had no business coming up to me, you were sitting a
row or two ahead of me, Kumar said. You shoved your finger in my face and
said, you shoved your finger in my face and said Kumar, they will never
accept you.

You said it twice, he continued. And you were so intimidating that the
sergeant-at-arms without my invitation came and intervened between us. Sir,
that is very disappointing.

I said that you put a brown face on white supremacy, Jones later admitted,
according to remarks flagged by Mediaite. Thats what I said.

The votes on expulsion followed the filing of resolutions on Monday against
Jones, Rep. Gloria Johnson (D-Knoxville), and Rep. Justin Pearson (D-
Memphis).

--
Let's go Brandon!

A vote to expel Johnson failed by one vote, which Johnson suggested might
have been due to race Pearson and Jones are both black while Johnson is
white. During his defense, Pearson also attempted to make the debate about
race, suggesting that Tennessee Republicans were racist and invoking black
women who stood at the cross when Jesus was crucified.

Rep. Gino Bulso (R-Brentwood) said that the Democrats had tried to shred the
[states] constitution with a bullhorn during debate on the resolutions.

X-Subject: `Let's Go Lick The World': Biden's Latest Round Of Gaffes
X-Newsreader: WinVN 0.99.12N (x86 32bit)
 by: Ubiquitous - Tue, 18 Apr 2023 17:58 UTC

President Biden has always been a gaffe machine, but his slip-ups have gotten
more frequent, and his trip to Ireland last week was no different.

One of the most head-scratching moments of Bidens Ireland trip was when he
encouraged his audience to lick the world.

Lets go lick the world, Biden told Irish leaders during a banquet at
Dublin Castle on Thursday evening.

Joe Biden went to Ireland to share his message: Lets go LICK the
world! #FoxNews pic.twitter.com/HzzNZrdSDi

 Jesse Watters Primetime (@jesseprimetime) April 17, 2023

Biden still received applause and a standing ovation from the crowd of Irish
leaders though, despite the licking remark.

On Thursday, Biden claimed (again) he has traveled 17,000 miles with
Chinese President Xi Jinping.

I met more with Xi Jinping than any world leader has over the last 10
years, Biden said. Over 91 hours of just one-on-one conversations, 68 in
person. Ive traveled 17,000 miles with him through Asia, primarily, through
China.

 Townhall.com (@townhallcom) April 13, 2023

Biden has been making this claim since at least 2020, and he said a version
of it in 2016 as well.

In 2021, the White House tried to explain that Biden meant the total travel
back and forth in China and the U.S. for meetings the two presidents held
together.

However, even The Washington Post came up empty after racking its brains
trying to figure out what Biden meant.

On Wednesday, Biden confused a rugby team with the violent 1920s-era British
police force. The president mistook New Zealands All Blacks rugby team for
the Black and Tans, a brutal police force deployed against the Irish during
the Irish War of Independence.

He was a hell of a rugby player, and he beat the hell out of the Black and
Tans, Biden said about former Irish rugby player Rob Kearney, Bidens
distant relative, during remarks in Dundalk, Ireland.

BIDEN JUST CALLED THE ALL BLACKS THE BLACK AND TANS!!!!
pic.twitter.com/M2FREst26K
 Daragh Mulligan (@DazmanOnline) April 12, 2023

The president seems to be popular in Ireland. He jogged onstage to speak to a
cheering crowd with the Dropkick Murphys playing in the background, and he
was mobbed by supporters outside a pub.

Beyond Ireland, the last few months have given us no shortage of Biden
gaffes.

Biden was even more incoherent than usual this week, mixing up China
and Canada and promoting "tax credits for elected [sic] vehicles."

In Ottawa, the president declared: "Uh, I have, uh. We have, uh, um,
ya know, uh."

Via @thaleigha_ & @AndrewStilesUSA https://t.co/OTqHtCKJuI
pic.twitter.com/uN13L0N5pP

 Washington Free Beacon (@FreeBeacon) March 31, 2023

A few weeks ago, Biden said he applauds China when he meant Canada during
remarks to the Canadian Parliament.

That move surely caused facepalms among White House staffers.

Last month when he was supposed to address the nation about the Nashville
school shooting that killed six, Biden said he came down because he heard
there was chocolate chip ice cream.

Lets not forget Bidens habit of falling down the Air Force One stairs too.

Maybe the White House gaffe prevention squad went on vacation sometime last
month.

Well, who could blame them?

X-Subject: So Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Sent Me A Handwritten Note, And It Was Just Weird
 by: Ubiquitous - Tue, 18 Apr 2023 17:58 UTC

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) sent me an email the other day titled A
handwritten note for you.

Of course, as I just said, it was an email. But instead of just text, the
email included a JPEG of a note AOC had apparently written more like
scrawled.

The first paragraph of the email said: J., Alexandria wrote a quick note to
share what our movement has been able to accomplish because of grassroots
support from people like you. Read the note below and then click here to
contribute.

Ah, click here to contribute. A money grab. But the J. part meant the
notes for me maybe only to me.

The first line of the handwritten note, which includes grammatical errors and
some nearly indecipherable words, took me a while to figure out, but then I
realized the weird and kinda juvenile cursive writing said To our
supporters and friends

The note continued:

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for being part of this
movement a peoples movement. The collective power of your support
and continued commitment to action has transformed countless lives
on both a personal and systematic level.

Just this year alone, your support has allowed us to:

Raise thousands in for trans + LGBT+ advocacy, emergency relief
efforts in East Palestine, Ohio, support for migrants and more.

Bring hundreds of hours and counting of free virtual tutoring to
under-resourced families with an [sic] Homework Helpers program.

Build progressive power across the country through an [sic] Courage
to Change effort.

Fight the spread of Spanish-language misinformation campaigns
through an [sic] Whats App organizing.

All while providing a living wage to our team of organizers on the
ground!

All this when its not even an election year, and its still early
in the year! Theres even more to come. As we push to hold special
interest to account, fight for real action to combat the climate
emergency, and organize for change that actually centers working
people, you [sic] continued support means absolutely everything.

If possible, could you help us in that fight with a contribution?

I am so proud of all this movement has and continues to accomplish
thanks to you. On behalf of my team, community and our movement:
Thank you.

Of course, it was just a craven plea for money. Click the tab and you get to
a spot where you can contribute $5, $10, $15, and, for some reason, $27. You
can throw in more $250 or a custom amount and even make the donations
recur monthly.

Theres nothing odd in sending out fundraising letters. I get them endlessly.
But why make it seem like youre sending me a personal handwritten note?
And why even call it handwritten when its an email? AOC is the queen of
Instagram, so whats with the cursive note?

And if youre going to write a note, shouldnt you get the grammar right? And
if part of its illegible, shouldnt you write it again?

Finally, the signature is the weirdest.

https://dw-wp-production.imgix.net/2023/04/aoc2-300x104.jpg

I mean, what is that?

X-Subject: Federal Officials Claim Black Doctors Are So Good That Blacks Live Longer Just By Living In The Same County As One
X-Newsreader: WinVN 0.99.12N (x86 32bit)
 by: Ubiquitous - Tue, 18 Apr 2023 17:58 UTC

Federal employees funded by a government equity office claim in a new study
that black doctors are so crucial that having one merely exist in a county is
enough to raise the life expectancy of blacks in that entire county.

The study was published Friday on the website of JAMA, of the Journal of the
American Medical Association, one of the nations most prestigious medical
journals. It was authored by officials with the Health Resources and Services
Administration (HRSA) of the US Department of Health and Human Services, with
funding from HRSAs Office of Health Equity, administered by the Oak Ridge
Institute for Science and Education through an interagency agreement between
the US Department of Energy and HRSA.

The premise of the study is that there should be more black doctors because
in counties where more doctors are black, the average black person lives an
extra 30 dayseven though there is no evidence that most black residents were
ever even treated by the doctor.

The medical journal uses the language of critical race theory and argues that
race is a social construct and that racial differences frequently observed
in population health outcomes studies are generally considered to result from
fixable health system factors, such as differences in the availability and
quality of care. Other studies, by contrast, have found massive differences
in individual characteristics that impact lifespans, with the vast majority
of black women being overweight, for example.

Race as a study variable, in and of itself, is not considered a biological
determinant of health outcomes; rather, it is a social construct that serves
as a proxy measure for the structural inequities inherent in our society, and
specifically in the health system, it said.

The study appears to argue for segregation, which it calls physician-patient
race concordance.

Some Black patients may prefer to seek care from racially concordant
physicians due in part to the value placed on certain shared aspects of
culture and experience, it said.

The suggestion that black doctors are preferable to others and can measurably
extend average lifespans in an entire county is in contrast to objective
scientific literature on their qualifications. Black applicants to medical
schools have the lowest MCAT scores and the lowest GPAs of any group. A 2022
study found that black doctors had the lowest scores on exams given to family
medicine residents.

Despite the methodological weaknesses and tiny change in life expectancy of
the study, a science news outlet covered it breathlessly, writing The new
study found that Black residents in counties with more Black physicians
whether or not they actually see those doctors had lower mortality from all
causes, and showed that these counties had lower disparities in mortality
rates between Black and white residents. The finding of longer life
expectancy persisted even in counties with a single Black physician.

That a single Black physician in a county can have an impact on an entire
populations mortality, its stunningly overwhelming, STAT News quoted
Monica Peek, a primary care physician and health equity researcher at
UChicago Medicine, as saying.

Michael Dill, the director of workforce studies at the American Association
of Medical Colleges (AAMC), was also a co-author, and was clear that the
study aims to advocate for more affirmative action. This is adding to the
case for a more diverse physician workforce, he said. What else could you
ask for?

The lead author, John Snyder, said of polices that pass more blacks through
medical school, regardless of performance: Arguably weve found a path
forward for closing those disparities.

The AAMCs own data shows that affirmative action in medical schools is
rampant and results in people becoming doctors who otherwise never would have
been permitted to because of their scores: A black doctor with a modest MCAT
score of 27-29 had an 81% chance of being admitted to medical school, while
an Asian with the same score had only a 20% chance and a white a 29% chance.

The federal officials and medical college official seem to be using the study
to establish benefits of diversity out of fear that the Supreme Court could
bar affirmative action in academic admissions.

On Twitter, the STAT News author, Usha Lee McFarling, who says she is a
Pulitzer winner, said that this study shows benefit merely from the presence
of Black docs. Why? One thought is counties where Black doctors practice may
in general be more supportive of Black lives.

She said that could be because black doctors are willing to politically
advocate for health.

She complained that Black doctors continue to be pushed out of training,
especially in elite specialties, before they finish, removing them from the
workforce and the fields they once dreamed of entering, referring to
trainees being flunked by their supervisors because they could pose a threat
to the safety of future patients.

All that and they're just from the last few weeks. But Dan Quayle
misspelled "potato" and it was the end of the world.
