Here are some wrestling news items for you:
- Raw from last week opened with Rey Mysterio cutting a promo that told us about his past year - being inducted into the Hall of Fame and his betrayal by Dominik, who came out. That led to a Rey-Finn Balor match. The Judgment Day member won with a Coup de Grace. New WWE World tag team champions were crowned, as Lita was attacked backstage before the bell. Trish Stratus subbed for her in her match with Becky Lynch. They dropped the belts to Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. After the match, Trish attacked "The Man", turning heel in the process. Bobby Lashley and Bronson Reed fought to a double countout. Cody Rhodes cut a promo discussing the attack from Brock Lesnar the week before, and that led to a match between the Usos and Alpha Academy. Jey pinned Chad Gable with a 1D. Bayley was supposed to have been in a Triple Threat match against Mia Yim and Piper Niven, but a disagreement led to IYO SKY taking over her Damage CTRL spot. SKY won by pinning Yim with a moonsault. In the main event, Kevin Owens faced Solo Sikoa. The Bloodline member won with interference from the Usos. Sami Zayn and Matt Riddle appeared to make the show. The show had to be rewritten due to several talents being unable to make it to Seattle, including The Miz, who was supposed to face Riddle. In the ratings, Raw averaged 1.818 million viewers.
- NXT opened with new champion Carmelo Hayes calling out Bron Breakker, .. Hayes offered Breakker a spot in a number one Contender's Fatal 4-Way. Dragon Lee and JD McDonagh. Then came Grayson Waller. Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre defended the NXT Women's tag team titles against Fallon Henley and Kiana James in a rematch from Stand and Deliver. Henley and James won with a lungblow/senton bomb combination. Andre Chase presented Duke Hudson with the MVP trophy for saving Chase U at Stand and Deliver, but Bron returned to attack Hudson with a spear. He then broke the Chase U. Eddy Thorpe then pinned Javier Bernal.Tiffany Stratton defeated Sol Ruca with a moonsault. Von Wagner then faced Ilja Dragunov. The Russian quickly won with a Torpedo Moscow. Dijak and Iija did a staredown. Joe Coffey of Gallus defeated Tank Ledger. The main event was the Fatal Four-Way. Waller won with a return collar on Hudson. In the ratings, NXT drew 528,000 viewers.
