OK, three-day catch-up here.

ALL:

soaps: Honestly, it's hard to keep track of the soaps I watched.
DOOL - Wendy ran away to Seattle, to Tripp. Sloan and Eric are going
to try to make a go of it. Gabi and Stefan are reunited, and intend to
move back into the DiMera mansion. EJ knows Nicole is lying to him
about something.
GH - Victor lays a trap for Trina and discovers her - he almost
throws Spencer and Trina overboard but Obrecht talks Victor out of it.
Carly and Nina get into it again - Carly is still the biggest bitch in
the world, and I wish she'd die!!

WED:

Mommy, I Didn't Do It (LMN) - This 2017 flick was back in the days when
Lifetime used to actually pay for decent TV movie casts - this flick
has a cast of thousands!! It's the sequel to 2013 "The Wrong Woman"
(no, not one of *those* "Wrong" flicks!) starring Danica McKellar (when
she still used to do Lifetime flicks, which she probably hasn't done
since this flick).
The sequel switches out child actress Savannah McReynolds for
doe-eyed cutie pie Paige Searcy as McKellar's daughter, who as a young
adult gets accused of murder. McKellar, as her lawyer mom, has to clear
daughter's name.
Interestingly, Caroline Sunshine (from Disney Channel's "Shake It
Up") has a prominent role in this, though it seems to be her final
acting role - I guess she didn't find success after the Disney series
ended.

Push (off HBO prime(?)) - I don't remember if I mentioned it, but the
other day I saw a good chunk of "Jumper".
Well, regardless of the problems I have with this flick, this film
is *much* better than "Jumper" (at least storywise).
I still don't like the way this one (and many movies around this
time) were filmed.
I had forgotten that Camila Belle (in her prime!) stars in this. I
remembered the 13-year old Dakota Fanning though, and young-ish Chris
Evans.
Hey, Corey Stoll, the villain from "Ant-Man", is in this!

THUR:

The Ark - "Everybody Wins" (ep. #1.12, the season #1 finale). I found
this to be a disappointing season finale. By, like, a lot.
And this time, it wasn't the execrable science, like the idiocy that
they couldn't tell methane from water (easy to tell apart with IR, for
one thing), or that methane can "ignite" without oxygen, or that it
"igniting" would be enough to destroy a planet!
No, this time is was the dumb stuff with Ark 15, and the incredibly
weak ending. A much better ending would either have been Ark 15
"lost(?)" in the ensuing explosion, or Ark 15 purposely abandoning Ark
1 as a "wreck", would both have been much meatier endings than what we
were given.
I said going into this that they should have concluded the Ark 15
arc (heh) with the end of season #1. In not taking my advice, I am not
expecting season #2 to be very good. I can pretty much predict that
season #2 will start with Maddox sending a boarding party to Ark 1...
Boring!

A View To Kill For (LMN) - The movie that Adam, I think, complained
about for starring actresses with "porn star" names - Tiffany
Montgomery and Brittany Goodwin.
Montgomery's character recevies a surprise inheritance of a mansion
in a ritzy and snooty town, and moves her whole family there. Of
course, no one is happy to see them. And it sends someone possibly
homicidal!
This was maybe almost fun in parts, when they were portraying how
awful the richie rich townsfolk were. But I thought the ID of the perp
was blaringly obvious.

FRI:

Secrets on Greek Row (Lifetime) - Huh - Lucy Loken used to be sexy
a.f., but I guess it's about 5 years later, and now... she's kind of
not anymore. (And I can't put my finger on why...)
Anyway, Loken plays the head of a college sorority. Her best bud is
played by recent Lifetime staple Grace Patterson. Adam laughed, but her
boyfriend does die in a freak electrocution/hot tub incident!
Then Jessica Morris shows up as the new house mother - this can't be good!
Then it seems like someone is out to get Loken's character.
There's more going on here, of course, but this is the gist.
Huh - this is not on IMDb yet, so I can't even "fix" the cast listing!!

Blood, Sweat and Cheer (Tubi) - At least Tubi seems to be trying to
break out of the mold. Most Lifetime films have become increasingly
formulaic over the last decade, rarely deviating from established
norms. But Tubi seems to be trying to be at least somewhat novel with
with its originals.
It didn't quite work in their previous two films I watched - "Romeo
and Juliet Killers" and "Deadly Cheer Mom" - but it mostly works here.
That's in large part due to getting the tone right (this one is
definitely played tongue-in-cheek) and more to the take-no-prisoners
performance from lead Tammin Sursok. Sursok *really* commits to this
role!
Sursok plays a *way too* engaged "stage mom" to a cheerleader named
Cherie, played by Lifetime staple Monroe Cline. Cherie has had enough
of her obsessive controlling mom, and quits cheer and moves in with her
dad.
For [reasons!!], Sursok's mom character decides to impersonate her
daughter, and join a cheer squad at a rival high school. Which may be
what she wanted all along - you see, she was a teen mom with Cherie,
and so missed out on her "high school experience"!!
This is preposterous, of course - Sursok, who is almost 40, can't
pass for 30 anymore! let alone 18!! But this film is not concerned with
such trivial details!!
Sursok's character does *everything* she can to get on, and then
*stay* on, the cheer squad at her new HS. And she's not above a little
mayhem and murder to do it! (It doesn't explain why, as an adult, she's
so shitty at HS history!!)
This was pretty fun. I would have liked more of an ending than what
we got. But that's a relatively small complaint from a movie that at
least manages to mix things up a little.

Well, not that I really care(! :p ), but:

What did you watch?

--
"Who would ever do this to him!?" - HottCiara on DOOL (04-27-2020), asking
who would stab Victor Kirakis... How about ANYONE WHO'S EVER MET HIM??!!

Ya, it seems to have been the film that killed her career. :(

I watched GHOSTED on the Apple TV. Movie starring Chris Evans and my
gorgeous pocket creature Ana de Armas. Unlucky-in-love farmer Evans
meets art dealer Ana at a farmers market and falls for her. They spend
the day together and boink, then the next day he starts blasting her
with texts and emojis and pretty much does everything possible to
broadcast he's a needy emotional cripple and she doesn't respond. He
accidentally left his asthma inhaler in her purse while on their date,
which he has air-tagged so he always knows where it is, so he pulls up
the tag on his phone, sees she's in London. Convinced by his weird
family that spontaneously showing up in London to see Ana would be
interpreted as a grand romantic gesture instead of the stalker behavior
that it actually is, he books a flight, tracks her down and is instantly
kidnapped by international crime syndicate. Turns out Ana is a CIA spy,
not an art dealer and Evans has stumbled into high international
intrigue. Wackiness ensues.

Mildly recommended, if only for Ana's enduring loveliness and some well-
choreographed action sequences.

It wasn’t even worth reporting on. It did make the last episode of Picard
seem not quite so awful.

While I generally agree, more so, for the action sequences than for Ana (I
can’t begin to say how much I hate her hair in this) I do have to say it’s
by far the worst movie I’ve ever seen either of them in.

How come Hollywood understands how centripetal gravity works in revolving
restaurants when they don’t on spaceships?

Can you actually use old airline vouchers? I thought they expired at the
end of every year.

Yeah, if only that was the worst piece of nonsense in the movie.
