What turned you off? I ask because the show went somewhere other than
what I initially expected.

That's the US one. I've heard it's good, but I don't usually care much
for political thrillers. The British one is more of a police mystery,
though I think the chief consul is a major player in the conspiracy
surrounding the murder.

yesterday, I have to say The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is just about the
best TV show I've ever seen.

The anomaly (or not) is that these were 3 brand new series essentially
hot off the griddle, with no intervening duds -- i.e., a "streak".

Yes, afaik 'Maisel' has been a huge success and, happily, is going out
on top (...as opposed to network TV, which runs a successful show so far
into the ground that it has learn Chinese).
