It's true I'm leaving simply because I don't fit in. You can try to fit in only if the door is opened wide enough but here, in this group, too many doors are shut,
having that whites only water fountain vibe.

Us against them, no room for any decent conversation accept agenda of the day...or month or year.

You can make a good cake or wind up with burnt toast.

You can write poetry only to find it two pages later.

Agenda.

My agenda is to write and read poetry. This place has given me heartburn as well as many nudges to my muse.

For that I'm thankful.

So beat me up for another month, get it all in, in the end, it makes little difference.

Know this, I have many neighbors, some I talk to, some a small wave, some remain in complete silence on both parts.

Mixed company, mixed nuts. I have my favorites, spit out the rest.

As someone with an agenda-- I'm a poetic anarchist when there's just strife to be found-- I can attest that escape is the sanest way.
