Perhaps but there's a difference between (1) tolerating homosexuality
(or whatever other group you want to discuss) and (2) celebrating it
by painting rainbow crosswalks (as we have just outside our public
library) or further (3) actually APOLOGIZING AND ASSURING THE PUBLIC
THAT IT WOULD BE RECTIFIED ASAP when a portion of the rainbow
crosswalk was dug up for routine road draIn work that required cutting
through the pavement to get at the pipes needing work (the parkade of
the adjacent library runs 3 stories below ground level so some minor
digging was required) Work was completed in about 2 weeks and things
were quickly repainted to as before.

I wasn't unduly bent about any of this except the fact that "our city
fathers" felt they had to apologize which I think is taking it more
than a step too far.
