Yeah, somehow I don't see Benson or Stabler posting their location and

He's been in the background for most of the series, but they suddenly
started giving him screen time this season-- he was the key UC in one of
the cases-- so it was surprising they just suddenly wrote the character
out like that. Maybe the actor wanted to leave.
