Daily Wire host Matt Walsh blasted the dishonest media�s obsession with
stoking racial division by reporting on a false story about a pregnant
hospital worker accused of stealing a black man�s bike instead of covering
the murder of white handyman Lawrence Herr by two black suspects in
Louisiana.

�The Matt Walsh Show� podcast host on Monday gave details about what happened
last month to the 66-year-old handyman who he said was working on installing
a mailbox when he was shot in the back and killed. That story, Walsh noted,
was not one that was widely reported in the mainstream media.

Walsh said police arrested two black men � Taj Matthews, 23, and Maurice
Holmes, 25 in the murder. A lead detective with the Kenner Police Department
testified recently that one of the suspects told police �they wanted to go
out and kill a white guy,� according to 4WWL.

�Maurice Holmes and Taj Matthews were black and Lawrence Herr was white, so
they executed him,� Walsh said. �Now, these men, they didn�t know Lawrence
Herr or they didn�t get into some kind of altercation with him that day.�

A man named Lawrence Herr was hunted and killed for being white.

�He didn�t shout the N-word at them while they drove past,� he added. �Not
that that would justify it. They just decided to take a day off work to go
hunting for white people. And so they did.�

�Now, no mainstream media outlet in the country has covered this story,�
Walsh continued, noting he�s not seen it on Fox News, CNN, The New York
Times, or any other major outlets. However, he said the one you are hearing
about in the media is the false story involving a pregnant hospital worker
Sarah Comrie � who was accused of stealing a black man�s bike.

�Instead they spent the past week going wall to wall with an obviously fake
story about a pregnant white physician�s assistant in New York City who
supposedly decided to, out of nowhere one day, terrorize some black people,�
the host added. �And yet no media outlets did any research or investigation
into this version of events. We were supposed to simply accept it at face
value, and many people did. And they did so based entirely on this out-of-
context video.�

Walsh noted that the headline in the New York Post read, �NYC Hospital
�Karen� On Leave After Being Accused Of Trying To Take Black Man�s Bike In
Viral Video.�

�The article goes on to mock Sarah Comrie, saying that she, quote, appears to
start crying theatrically in the video,� the DW host said. �Now, this is the
New York Post. We�re talking about, which broke the Hunter Biden laptop
story. They�re capable of doing real investigative journalism on occasion,
and sometimes they do.�

�But what they did here is use a racial slur in a headline to spread an
obvious lie about a pregnant hospital worker,� he added. �And yes, Karen is a
racial slur�Even an article in the BBC from 2020 acknowledges that the Karen
meme reference is, quote, a specific type of middle-class white woman.�

�And it became popular, quote, as a way for people of color, particularly
black Americans, to satirize this type of white person,� Walsh continued. �In
other words, it�s a derogatory label that one race of people uses to describe
members of another race, otherwise known as a racial slur.�

The host said Comrie�s attorney has provided the receipt to prove that in
fact, she was the owner of the bike and not the other way around. �Sara
Comrie rented the bike. That�s not in dispute. The teenagers apparently
swapped the QR codes so that she would unlock the bike that they were sitting
on, which they could then steal,� Walsh said.

�What�s interesting is why anyone, journalists or otherwise pretended to
believe this story for so long,� he added. �Why would anyone pretend to
believe again that a white, middle-aged woman who just got off a 12-hour
shift at a hospital tried to steal a bike from black teenagers?�

�There�s a reason the media has to lie about the stories of Sarah Comrie and
Amy Cooper, not to mention the most egregious recent example, which was
Daniel Penny,� he added. �And the reason is simple: it�s because they can�t
find videos and news stories of white people going out and hunting black
people. It just doesn�t happen. They lie and pretend it happens all the time.
But it�s not true. And the people spreading this narrative, they know that it
isn�t true.�

And now that it comes out she has proof that she paid for the bike and
they were the ones trying to steal it from her, rather than retract all
the racist hate they directed at her, the "leaders of the black
community" are at best saying the same thing they said after Juicy
Smollett's hoax fell apart: "Whether it really happened or not doesn't
matter. It still points to a larger issue about racism in America."

The problem with that version of events should have been obvious from
the start. A pregnant woman all by herself sees a group of young black
men and decides to start racially harassing them and try to steal from
them?

Come on. In what fantasy world would that happen, given today's climate?
