aap sab ko Eid ki mubaarakbaad! bazm meN aaj kal Ghair-ma'muulii Khamoshii hai. ummeed hai tamaam ahbaab baKhair hoNge. haalaaNki is par koii radd-e-amal aane kii tavaqqo kam hii hai, :) phir bhii janaab Jaun Elia ki zamiin meN ek koshish pesh hai. mulaahiza farmaaiye.

raaz kahtii hai raat kaan meN kyaa?
aaj aayegaa koii dhyaan meN kyaa?

aap kahte haiN jis ko dil apnaa
koii dar bhii hai is makaan meN kyaa?

dekhtii bhii hai aur nahiiN bhii nazar
teer rakhte haiN yuuN kamaan meN kyaa?

ik taraf dil hai, ik taraf dunyaa
ishq Daalegaa imtihaan meN kyaa?

is zameeN par jo mil nahiiN paate
phir vuh milte haiN aasmaan meN kyaa?

mere daaman meN aur kuchh bhii nahiiN?
Khaar the sirf gulsitaan meN kyaa?

husn-e-kirdaar ho to baat hai kuchh
varna rakkhaa hai Khaandaan meN kyaa

vuh jo daulat se pyaar karte haiN
maiN karuuN arz un kii shaan meN kyaa

zulm ko zulm to kaho, logo
itnii taaqat nahiiN zabaan meN kyaa?

is vaqt maiN sirf Eid mubbarak kehne kiye liye haazir hui huuN. aap kii yeh ghazal vaaqa'i tavaqqo chaahti hai, so is par guftguu kuchh der baad. JE and Irfan Abid, what an unexpected combination! :-)

Oh Gosh Naseer sahib, did I really? This tells you what kind of rush, and state of mind, I must have been in while posting my reply to Irfan sahib. Thanks for pointing out, I honestly haven't even had a chance to visit Alup since then, or I might have caught this 'slip' myself.
