Today's shooting by a police officer:

A police officer from Michigan shot himself and another man. He was
handling the gun. The incident took place in a hotel in Chicago.

The police officer was 23 years old. The other man he shot was 25,
listed in serious condition for being shot in the abdomen.

I assume the second man was in the hallway outside the hotel room of the
cop, but it doesn't say.

The cop was taken into custody but then police decided to treat it as an
accidental shooting.
