This is not meant to derogatory, but even on "Everwood" he seemed quite
old. I'm actually surprised that he was just 79 when he died.

Anyway, I liked him on "Everwood" - he was often sort of the highlight
on the show.

I get what you mean. Between his appearance and his mannerisms it was
easy enough to see him as much older.

He just looked like that pretty much his whole career. It's kind of an
advantage for character actors.

I never watched that show. I remember him as one of the coaches -- I
think the one that put Rudy on the practice team -- in the movie Rudy.
