It seems that the head of the RAF (Royal Air Force of Britain) is giving orders to increase hiring of women and minority pilots to the point that he is willing not to even teach more white men to fly. At the same time, he asserts that operational readiness is NOT impacted!

Apparently, he's begging the recruiters to persuade more women and minorities to sign up for pilot training, even if they have zero interest and many white men are eager to fly. It seems incredibly unlikely that this will help the RAF maintain its readiness if the women and minority pilots are only there as a result of massive arm-twisting (and regardless of competence) and those who are eager to fly are turned away cold.

I'd apply anyway and make them turn me down so I could sue their asses off for
racial and gender discrimination and get nice settlement.

The Government's argument:

Plaintiff had the ability to perceive himself to be of another race and
of another sex than the race and sex he was born as. He failed to avail
himself of the opportunity to be hired. This doesn't rise to the level
of an equal protection violation, Your Honor, because plaintiff hasn't
demonstrated that cis-gendered white males who believe themselves to be a
member of a protected class are treated in a different manner than others
who believe themselves to be other than what they were born as.

The government did not violate the Fourteenth Amendment.
