Government can create jobs by doing a good job for society and not
having waste, fraud, and abuse. Functioning government raises land
value, which will in turn lead to job creation. Bad government hurts the
economy; land values fall; jobs are destroyed.

We cannot afford bad government.

Two governors ago, our great environmentalist governor decided that the
toll highway network had to be expanded. One expressway was widened and
extended with even the free portion turned into a tollway. Another major
tollway had lanes added and bridges replaced. Who knows what he would
have done if he weren't an environmentalist.

He kept touting it as "jobs creation", but tolls were raised long in
advance of construction beginning. The very drivers paying higher tolls
were paying for facilities that wouldn't open till many years in future.

In the meantime, they don't get the value of the improved roadways and
they are out of pocket on the higher tolls.

They didn't spend monies elsewhere in the economy, which destroyed jobs.
Technically there wasn't actually a net increase in jobs. At best, jobs
were shifted from the non-highway-construction sector into the highway
construction sector.

Politicians never see the adverse or unintended consequences of their
policies.

No we can not. We also can't afford the $Five (5) Trillion dollars that Biden
has already added to the national debt and the 7,000,000+ unvetted illegals
that have flooded across our open southern border since he's been in office..
BTW, did those "new jobs" include the 87,000 new IRS Agents Biden hired
to investigate middle class tax returns? And just FYI, every time you add a
new government employee, the working American tax payers spend the rest
of their lives paying for that government worker's salary, benefits and retirement.

The whole Democrat political strategy summed up in one sentence:

"Vote for me and I'll give you "free" stuff".
