As far as I'm aware, Castro never faced an internal military rebellion by Cuban forces
but this ain't some two-bit Caribbean island we're talking about, this is Russia, where
I read the military stood aside while the Wagners rolled right thru two cities (shooting
down six helicopters and a command plane in the process) on their way to Moscow
and many regular citizens were cheering them on.

The Russian armed forces didn't defeat the Wagners, (further showing them to be
utterly incompetent) they forced Putin into cutting a deal with them and that makes
him look like an absolute chump on the global political stage.

Putin is going to have a hard time explaining how Prigozhin got away with destroying so much Russian aviation, and letting him kill entire crews on the planes.
