I can’t give you that one, despite James Mason. By then, I was already
reading, Stephen King, and the changes were just offensive. Not to mention
just ripping off Nosferatu.

I had forgotten about that! I remember they gutted the Pirates of the
Caribean ride at Disney World here by more-or-less removing all the rapey and
pillaging parts.

Didn't they remove the "restless natives" from the ride?

If that is the case, the prices should be drastically dropping.
This year's attendence numbers are disastrous.

Disney has made several changes to their Jungle Cruise attraction to remove
the racially insensitive stereotypes of Indigenous people and to add more
humor, wildlife and skipper heart. Some of the changes include:

Changing the setting to the Amazon
Replacing Trader Sam with a gift shop scene
Making the Rock a different kind of skipper
 Changing Dr. Albert Falls backstory
Adding new creations for the movie adaptation

If memory serves, the Chupacabra was invented in the 1980's by superstitious
Puerto Ricans.

I'll be going on vacation in a couple of weeks and part of it will
include a trip to Disneyland before heading to Vegas for the big Trek
convention.

Yes it is.

I'm looking forward to riding it again. And the newest attraction,
which I haven't ridden yet, Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway.

It also had a long line, but the

I might stick my head in the door but don't really waste much time with

The first time I went to Disney as an adult I didn't know there were two
parks and scoffed at buying tickets to California Adventure. Since then
I've learned my lesson and I go to both parks. California Adventure
isn't as good as the main park, but they definitely have some top tier
rides and attractions.

I'm also looking forward to their newest attraction which just opened a
few days ago, "Rogers: The Musical." That fake musical from the Hawkeye
TV series has been turned into a real musical.

The reason it's two parks is all about marketing and hotel sales. If it
was one park you'd buy one ticket and spend one day there. But two
parks, now you have to book a hotel room and spend at least one night to
do it all.

There is a *lot* of chatter about a third park opening soon. Either
that or a massive expansion to the two existing parks.

Worse than that, 1995. And yet even though we know who first said it, and

Which shouldn't have done. King's Barlow wasn't a Nosferatu-like creature. He
was a refined gentlemanly demon, like Lugosi's Dracula. Turning him into
Nosferatu was a Tobe Hooper choice.

The park was pretty packed when we were there. Of course it was the day after
a holiday, so that could have affected it.

I thought about buying one of the Sith Wayfinder prop replicas for my movie
room but they come in white and black and you have no idea what color you're
getting until you buy one and open the box. The white one wouldn't go with my
scheme, so I didn't want to gamble $50.00 on it.

I was also tempted by the melted Vader mask replica until I saw it was $2000.
Nope. Not gonna do it.

As I said, some of it is pretty cool but it's *way* overpriced and the way you
find out after paying that price that you're still just the equivalent of
steerage-- where every ride and attraction has "VIP people" who get preference
over you because you didn't shell out even more money-- just turned me off to
the whole thing.

Yes. Barlow was the role that should have gone to James Mason.
