(I'm familiar with the game but haven't watched the series yet.) Given
the original author of the series is Polish and was writing from that
standpoint I dare say there wasn't a single person of color in his
story. They certainly didn't make it into the games. That isn't
racism, but a desire to be realistic as there wouldn't have been a
person of color around in the time period that the Witcher series is
set (even if it is a fantasy world.)

Why they feel the need to fill some quota I don't get. They may be
fine actresses but if they don't fit the part (and certainly that last
one seems a far cry from fitting the original character even ignoring
the race change) then they shouldn't be cast.
